The saving grace of preseason is the powerup solo lanes are getting

And the well deserved nerfs to jungle and not lane which have had too much sway for too long.

I'm not a fan of the dragon changes. I'm not a fan of the map gimmick. I'd much rather Riot have redesigned their lacking and archaic item system since it's the last old thing that hasn't changed and most items are mostly stat sticks with no added gameplay potential. But knowing that I will be more rewarded for playing well as a solo laner with snowballing potential that actually matters is a great relief and the added alcove/bush next to blue buff is a great buff for Illaoi, so I'm cool with that too.

All in all, I'd give the preseason a C+. Maybe a B.
