Don't Let Duo's Get Jungle

Could we put in place a rule where if you queue up with a friend, neither of you can jungle. That seriously skews the jungler role to no end.

Sometimes I get the good jg duo who actually is a good jungler and rotates around the map and capitalizes on ganking opportunities and objectives, regardless of which lane their duo is in.

Most of the time I get the jg duo who duos with top or mid, and only ever goes top or mid, respectively, and ignores the other two lanes. Most recently I had a jglr who was hard stuck top lane because their duo partner was top and feeding their ass out, but then the jglr was also feeding the enemy top, and so that game we had a very fed enemy Teemo, which instantly made the game feel 100 times worse because Teemo.

How does it skew the role?

If anything ADC/SUpport duo is the most "Unfair."

I dont see a problem with most duos though. I dont think an unranked should be able to bring a diamond into a silver mmr game, but other than that Idc.

Can you explain that? Jungle has the most prominent equity role. They should be assessing each lane equally and they can't if they're on comms with a laner.

Bot Duo seems the most fair.

So I'm a jungle main, that duos a couple times a week, but for the most part play solo. I'm also the shotcaller for my premade.

The real advantages I see from having comms (discord) is that I can tell people to go in, back out, and go to certain objectives. Since my teammates are usually lower elo than me (im gold 4, they're roughly s4/s3) I also correct their builds when they start losing fights they shouldve won. (Talon not building Executioners into vlad/swain/akali)... I would be doing all this regardless of what lane im in though.

In jungle I tell my premade to "go in" to start off a gank, and thats the biggest advantage I have. Early game it happens once every few minutes when I gank.

I've been learning adc/support as well though, and tried a premade there. They get the same "Go in/Get out" advantage as jungle does, but it happens much more often.

"I'm beating enemy adc in xp, when I hit level 3, go all in on them, save summs"

As for jungle assessing lanes equally, thats fundamentally wrong. Believe it or not you focus on winning lanes MOST of the time. (Nasus, Veigar are examples where you need to slow their free farm sometimes.) Ultimately your goal as jungle is to get the objectives, and summoner spells off the enemy laners. Once they lose summs, you should regank that lane if they overextend, because they have no escape.

Never assume that you should treat every lane equally. Always look for the "Answer to _______"

Enemy Vayne 4-0? Try and get your mid lane assassin fed to deal with her.

Enemy nasus free farming top? Make your adc build for late game to answer him.

Your top laner going 0-7? Gank the other lanes, and try to get dragon/first turret before he loses it. Minimize his impact on the team.

Sorry for the novel.

It skews the role because sometimes losing lanes still get jungle focus when they're duo'd. Eveyone else gets ignored and It puts them in a 3v5 basically. I don't think you can implement the rule the OP is talking about but I agree it's painful to see a jungle/lane duo go wrong when it's on your team.

OHHHH

You guys are talking about if your team has a jungle/lane duo and lose the game. The junglers still going to try and help his duo partner, rather than do whats smart.

I can see that. I personally tell my friends "Play safe and dont die" then try to do whats most likely to win the game. but I can definitely see what you're talking about now.

No way to implement OP's idea without making players fill certain roles, which is NEVER a good thing:P
