Miss Fortune

I've recently picked up mf again in hopes of her new rework (super hyped btw) and I've realized a few things.

She isn't great. She's good, but not great. She has 0 mobility besides her passive which can be stopped by a single caster minion auto. Late game she more than almost every other adc has to position and think ahead. When she ults she is basically saying "Hey I'm standing still and vulnerable please come and take me". She needs champions that can seriously lock down and peel. She feels like she should be a late game carry who needs peel and they should fear her ultimate but she's designed to be an early lane bully.

The most frustrating thing to me is her ultimate. Why does it not have ad scaling? Every other adc who has an ulti that has ap scaling is because of its utility. Not to mention its one of the easiest things to just walk out of (besides Sion ultimate). I had high hopes for this update and was hoping to bring her back into some ranked play but I just can't bring myself to play her in ranked. She's so vulnerable.

Tldr: Missfortune's update is a bit of a letdown to me. She's not up to par as she should be with other adc in case of being safe.

I'm fairly disappointed in her rework too. When it was announced, it was made to look like MissFortune was getting all of the issues with her kit fixed (e.g. her weird mixed damage scalings, unnecessarily poor late-game, underused AoE potential and complete lack of options when choosing when to engage or disengage). So far, the biggest change she received was the removal of the Grievous Wounds on her W, which got replaced by a Strut activation which will do nothing to help her kite in combat. Besides that, a buff to her Q which will mostly just affect her laning (which is already strong enough), and a few number tweaks, she's exactly the same, and none of her issues have been addressed. Riot even promised to make Strut scale into the late game, which they didn't do, and completely ignored requests to disable deactivation from minion-based damage past the early game, which the community has been asking for years. There have been balance tweaks that changed champions far more than Miss Fortune's current "rework", and the changes she's receiving feel like a huge missed opportunity. She also still hasn't received an expanded VO, too, so she's still stuck with her 17 lines, including that one now-obsolete reference to summoners. ;_;

I expected a lot more from riot team. I don't know why. All their other rewoeks have been decent and I really wanted them to unlock MissFortune 's potential. She should shine from the enemy team lining up grouping and shredding with her e and ultimate but she's a sitting duck. She requires so much peel and team help. Late game good luck trying to 1v1 anyone.

I think that might be Riot's own fault, since they advertised her changes with her own page and pretty animations, something only done for newly released or heavily reworked champions, alongside Gangplank's own overhaul. A lot of what was was promised on that page was either seriously exaggerated (e.g. her Strut activation on W, which from experience on the PBE does nothing to help her disengage, even in the very specific case where she purchased item 3072 and maxed out its shield), or just flat-out wrong (namely, her Strut scaling per level).

she does have ad scaling on her ult. it applies her w which scales with ad.

It's kinda hard to balance mf because she has a decent amount of magic damage in her kit that also benefits her AD.

I'm guessing Riot's trying to make sure it's not too hard to build defenses against her, but I feel like they're overestimating her too much. Or we could be underestimating her too much but I don't really think that's the case.

She's a weird adc tbh.

her ult has AD and AP scaling.

Her ult coincides with W for AD while it scales for extra physical damage with AP. As strange as that actually sounds.

I've mained Miss Fortune for probably half a year now, playing her probably every day I log onto League at least for a few games and I still don't see a major issue with her.

I talked with someone previously and they said she was a jack-of-all-trades but she wasn't a master of any of them which is 100% accurate on her. Probably the only thing she is the BEST at of any ADCs is early game. She has less range than Caitlyn, but poke that costs less mana, is easier to hit/harder to avoid, and unlike Caitlyn, has the ability to hold her own early game, as Caitlyn is significantly more reliant on poking her enemies low and then engaging than pretty much every other ADC due to her not having any steroids besides her passive. Aside from than, Miss Fortune can duel but not better than Vayne, she can teamfight but not better than Sivir or Twitch.

I like this about Miss Fortune, she's extremely, extremely flexible and can fit in and against any team comps. She's not the best duelist nor the best teamfighter, however she can effectively do both and I really don't see a lot of problem with that. Her only real fall offs is that she's basically as immobile as Kog'Maw, and she falls off hard late game. Both her early and mid game are pretty solid and scary good from what I notice, but her late game is where she falls off.

Maybe It's just the fact I've mastered the champion, but my last matches with Miss Fortune, some Ranked, some not are:

Kills - Deaths 10 - 4 12 - 0 20 - 5 11 - 0 23 - 7 18 - 1 (Got my 4th Pentakill with her in that game I believe.) 22 - 4 20 - 6 25 - 8 8 - 5

I've said this quite a lot, but there's not a whole lot wrong with Miss Fortune. She's not the best at everything, however she can fulfill everything effectively with the only exception of a late-game hypercarry, which most ADCs except for a few who are more-so designed for that can't even fulfill. I think the only current late game hypercarries are Kog'Maw, Jinx, Tristana, and Vayne? I think people unfairly misjudge Miss Fortune due to her lack of pro-play and how unpopular she is overall. Despite this, she has a really healthy kit and also has above average statistics including more Kills, Damage, less Deaths, and a higher win-rate than most ADCs.
