It is even more so from there because they literally lack the ability to use the rest of their kits effectively without landing their snares first.

Well the thing is making the argument "dodge" is counterplay is like saying "counterplay to any ranged ability is dodge. So counterplay to most champions "dodge". I get what you meant by just dodge. But when people complain about zed or yasuo no one says "just dodge the nado or the zed Q's".

Well the counterplay to Yasuo is play a bruiser like Darius or Renekton making him a three skill champion and can poke just as hard as he can.

The counterplay to them however is literally dodge their skillshot, Orianna can still do something of you dodge her ball, Syndra can still do something of you dodge her explosion and throw, Annie can still do something if you dodge her ulti, Yasuo can still do something if you dodge his nado, Lux and Morg can’t.

A morg isn’t gonna kill you by just pressing R or even cc you, in the current climate of League with damage being as high as it is and with how much mobility there is, unless she is ahead she is either dead or you can literally walk away from her ultimate.

Lux is a squishy no mobility mage whose only defense is a delayed shield and if you dodge her bind, just about every decent champion in the game can easily stick to and kill her before her next rotation.

Their kits literally don’t function without landing a skillshot so their counterplay of dodge the skillshot is very apt.

I would come to agree with you on most points in this if lux wasnt broken in high elo.

Dodge? Yes.

QSS, Zhonyas, warmogs, spirit visage.

And yes, bait and sidestep and flash. Honestly do you have skills besides walking at your opponent pressing your buttons and hoping you win?

Tenacity doesn't do a lot against Morg's Q because the duration is so long it's still longer than a lot of of hard CC with the reduction, but it does hit Lux pretty hard (you can usually walk out of her Q before her Q+R combo lands) Pick Garen or old Irelia and just laugh at them, jump on their heads and CC them before they explode (garen silence should run over Lux after he walks through Light Binding like its minion aggro)

mages don't mind assassins most of the time, as Assassins are just mages with a lot of extra mobility but less poke/range. Do not pick Assassins into artillery mages or zone mages, thats like drafting Fizz into a Kassadin or sending a Juggernaut to deal with the fed Vayne. Tanks are much more effective. Lux cant do anything once shes blown her combo and her target is very much not dead and now she's vulnerable to being CCd and ripped apart.

Wouldn't Tenacity actually do more again't Morg's Q?

If it's a long CC, the % takes off more overall time.

Point was taking 35% off a 1.5 second root brings it down to 1 second roughly, but off a 3 second root its still agonizingly long. If Morg Qs you in the middle of a teamfight youre dead Merc Treads or not. Lux you might get away. Just how I see it.

I would argue that Morgana with a bruiser, such as Irelia, Jax and Hecarim is a more viable option. The Lux/Morgana combo is only strong if you do not have vision and low engage.

Don't get hit...?

They're skillshots. Anyone can follow up on CC with more CC if they choose to, the counterplay is that they're decently telegraphed abilities that can be blocked or dodged entirely.

Buy QSS or Zhonya if youre ap? Try to dodge them , use blinks and dashes to your advantage (if you have any) since both the abilities are skillshots.

Group up. Chain CC is absurdly effective against a single champion. Not so much against more than one. Dodging the skillshot usually isn't an option because they will usually have some tank jungler or top Sejuani Tryndamere Kayn Malphite Trundle Nunu to gap close onto you and land a slow to make it easy to land the bind. The counterplay is to group up so your team can 4v5 the heavily CC oriented champs while they're busy keeping you locked down and giving you the business.

Really sucks when you're playing solo/duo queue and you have to play against this shit though :/ Not like you can count on your team to do the smart thing when they're all randos.
