I'm not seeing any "buff gangplank" threads anymore

And yet they never did buff him and instead I'm seeing people say he's a strong pick. Fiora will be the same. Give it a week.

You see, you need to look at the big picture. Personally I played nearly all champions in this game and by now I don't need 20 or 50 games of practice to learn a new or reworked champion.

GP wasn't strong to begin with, his pick rate quadrupled, while winrate went down by a mere 4%.

I called it: Setting up barrels will require some practice and he will be at least as good or better as before.

In case of Fiora? Her pick rate is mostly unchanged, while her winrate dropped from 52% to 36%. I played her and she felt really unrewarding. Especially the ultimate. Half of the time using it meant absolutely nothing for me or my team, because the target just hid behind the team and I maybe got one Vital off.

She actually needs buffs or some functional changes.

Indeed. GP has no kill secure capability; at least with grog soaked blade he had a 7% slow that stacked three times to 21%

He doesn't need kill secures to be good.

I find that Fiora can literally duel anyone, even if they're ahead.

Gangplank does 800 burst damage and two parleys. Enemy with flash/blink/MS boost walks away faster than GP and GP cant stop them.

The slow was REALLY important to GPs potency and kill potential.

I think because people figured out his gold curve is way ahead of everyone else's thanks to parley barrels now and his team fight is actually somewhat threatening if you let him barrel your team. He's by no means GOOD but he's dangerous in lane and he atleast has options now.

Fiora just doesn't have the play patterns available to her to be effective with her numbers.

People fail to realize that Fiora isn't complicated. She is more 1 dimensional that before the rework. Her playstyle and role don't match. By the time riot got to E, and R they just released her. Duck-Duck-Goose is not a game mechanic.

Don't bother arguing with it, just about every single (vocal) person in the community IMMEDIATELY jumps to conclusions when they simply read patch notes. It takes a whole lot of experience before they realize how wrong they are.

People are complaining about all these juggernaut changes.

I can guarantee you that 20-30% of them haven't even seen them in action, and only like 20% have actually played them on the PBE. Very few times.

But of course, they're super awesome at this game and can predict things so well they know when the world is going to end.

In fact on GP I got people I was fighting saying I was overpowered. Granted I was exploding their team at the level 13 + 40% CDR powerspike from hell but that still stands. :P

I also think Fiora is fine after playing a few games on her. The buffs on PBE feel very over reactive but...Screw it I'll play her when she gets over buffed. On the note of Fiora's ult it's mostly that people want to use it weirdly. It's mostly useful as a continuous fight tool, it's not intended to wombo people.

Now it can be USED as a part of your team's wombo to put the healing aura up, but it's not intended to be a "I win" button anymore and for some reason people dislike being targetable when they screwup.
