Who are the top champs (in each lane and jungle) that can deal with assassins? Especially against ones like Zed and Leblanc.

i dont think there is gonna be an assassin meta a bruiser meta sounds more like it. Imagine JarvanIV Pantheon Darius Volibear Shyvana Riven with the new item they will be quite tanky and deal stupid amounts of damage.

Darius Lissandra Kayle Lulu Orianna Zilean are good counters. In general good picks in assassin metas are tanks that can duel them through the burst damage, and support / utility champions that can cc or cock block them from killing squishies. It's only Mid, Top, and jungle that will be likely to have assassins if there is a assassin meta. Adc will probably not change much at all. Support won't be much different either.

Item wise help against assassins. You need vision for the flanks. Qss / Zhonya's counter the burst from assassin ults and the vulnerability from cc heavy teams made to give the assassin free kills. Basically the meta is going to transform into a modern version of the meta in 2014 if it's a true assassin meta.

Exhaust can gut the burst from assassins and help you escape (Honestly should be running this in lane against Zed / Talon). Barrier can give you that extra bit of tankiness to get out a live. Both essentially serve the same function.

Juggernauts will probably come back to the spotlight if assassins are strong.

Some of them (i.e. Graves, Urgot, Tristana, Vayne, Ezreal) have tools to deal with them (primarily, create distance or avoid damage). However, marksmen will typically want to stick close to allies capable of stopping the assassin.

Yeah some marksman can peel for themselves to some extent or dash out / kite. But, generally if a assassin catches you out your dead as a marksman.

Well, yeah. Assassins pretty much excel at bursting down squishy targets (which is pretty much exactly what most marksmen are.

Generally, all you can do is try to survive long enough for your team to help you out.

There is a reason the number of complaints from adc mains about "No peel, you didn't protect me, etc" drastically raises when assassins are common.

It's without a doubt the best meta shift to do if you want to collect marksman tears by the bucketful.
