In the past if I lost, I could be self critical and figure out what to do better

But Season 8 just feels different. I'm looking at a defeat having no idea what I could have done. One lane just snowballs out of control and you can never recover. I think that's the most frustrating thing.

Wait this isn't preseason?

Don’t worry they will fix it before preseason ends.

But Season 8 just feels different.

Ways to be self critical.

Did you build a defense item, instead of interactively one shotting the enemy?

Did you pick the flashiest champ that is also somehow the most mobile damage dealing PoS you’ve ever played?

Did you use that flashiness to instagibb the enemy?

Did you hit them first?

Win your lane, shutdown the guy who's snowballing and carry. Try to be selfish and do whatever you can to get an actual lead = don't go for traps move that would be put you behind. The game is much more focused on on getting leads than stopping the bleeding.

Except there's a problem unique to this season. This would have worked in the past, but now that 2/5/3 leblanc who's been playing like shit but just finished her ludens echo can one shot you as a 10/2/5 adc. Few minutes later you're like damn that leblanc is fed, but how tf would she not be? She finished one item and suddenly all the squishies on your team became a buffet. This is just a example from a painfully frustrating game I played awhile back, but it applies to many champions. Point is, now that a player no longer needs to do well to get the items they need to one shot you, solo carrying is basically impractical. All you can do is make yourself a worth enough target to bait enough CD's, that hopefully your team can clean up after you die.

I understand your frustration and I see it everyday with assassins.

I had this kata 0/5/0, 2 lvl behind and half my cs today that I honestly hard outplayed in lane. Yet, she remained a threat the whole game. Eventually she 100-0 me once but also got kills here and there even if she was super behind. It didn't matter at the end because we were super ahead anyway.

I assume you had no flash and no heal and I assume your support was brain afk. I assume your midlaner missplayed and was probably coming back from base. There's no way she would've ganked unless : 1°) she didn't force her opponent to back while remaiming healthy or outplayed your midlane by backing first to roam. 2°) your midlane or yourself haven't warded deep enough.

The game has become less forgiving because of the amount of damage which pretty much makes the assassins have it easy. I know you're Plat 3 and you're probably pretty good at the game but it doens't mean you don't make mistakes and I'm pretty sure I'm correct on my assumptions.

The only mistake that I made was believing I could survive a combo from a champion that was so far behind me, which is common and alot of people even in challenger are admitting to making that "mistake" this season, because they're not use to people so behind still having so much kill potential. However even if I start to just expect that any champion with burst will 1 shot me if I move in range of their abilities, that doesn't give me back the ability to carry. I'm still being allowed to be zoned off pressure by someone who's done nothing well all game, just happens to be playing a champ with an overloaded amount of burst. It should be obvious that the ability to one shot people should come with a lead, so that at the very least it showed that person had some sort of compitency with the game and didn't just pick a brain dead champ, hit all their buttons on me, and thus removed my ability to carry.

Yeah that sucks I aggree. They're going to "nerf' electrocute upfront damage but I don't think it's going to actually matter that much. Although, I believe we're going to see a luden's nerf along with the planned duskblade nerf.

It won’t matter. Until armor and mr are returned as stat options for lane matchups, the damage won’t matter.

People are getting popped for several hundred more than their health bar. A modest electrocute nerf won’t fix that.
