Rakan's W->R is more reliable than alistar flash Q combo.

it has more range than alistar. somehow the only thing that alistar is good at. that is engage. he is now the 2nd best at that . lets not forget that rakan has an okay heal and a shield.

alistar has no way of getting out meanwhile your favorite poster boy flashy support can do it all.

absolutely great letting a support do all that. and also aoe stun lock people from over a flash range away without using flash

good luck trying to make any of the engage supports better than him. leona, naut and what not. they all became garbage tier when you released rakan

Most of those alternatives to rakan don't necessarily need to get out since they're often tanky enough to stay in the fray, unlike rakan who will be exploded promptly if any cc lands on him.

As a Rakan main with 65% Winrate over 121 games in Ranked,

Just CC him and pop him when he's close if he'll be an issue / turn the tide of a fight. My "wins" with Rakan are often because people blow their CC before I blow mine, with nothing to reliably follow it up. Or because they position in such a way that if I were to attempt W>R / R>W, they have no get-away path while I have a high-damage carry near me.

Play off of Rakan if you're not in a position to dominate.

Leona has CC. With a smart carry, she's an easy Kill-Secure on stray targets and her turret dives are ridiculously good.
Alistar is the king (not Queen, that's Janna) of Disengage. But also quite the playmaker with proper follow-up due to his ability to stunlock. Also great at singling out a core component of the enemy team.
Naut is a CC-loaded tank with loads of power within his Ult; especially in teamfights. Is also notably good at holding waves for ADCs that need to back.

The irony of you telling that to a lvl 26 Zed main is absolutely hilarious. Lost count of all the times Zed mains have told people "just CC and blow him up" or "just buy Zhonyas" and now that they are getting a taste of how ridiculous such things are here comes all the QQ.

Well maybe if enough Rakan mains make enough Zed/Yasuo/Kalista/etc etc mains cry league of mobility can actually be nerfed and brought back in line....ah who am I kidding this is Riot they won't do jack to them.

OH oh. In that case, use your Shurikens to poke him and save your Shadow Clone for his W. Like I said, play OFF of him. Once he's low enough from Shurikens, if he's really a nuisance, just ult him. Otherwise, get a good Q>W>Auto/E>Auto and finish him off.
