since when can u flash autos?

maybe this is a bug, maybe its intended.

but i was under the assumption that once i am in auto attack animation.. the enemy can't summoner 4 away.

(the preview screen actually shows a freeze frame of this perfectly of me in mid animation)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXtXaROWV0I&feature=youtu.be

you can clearly see me mid takedown animation ( at 3 seconds when my kitty form starts to do the turn) (takedown is an empowered auto attack)

if i am in auto attack animation.. how can he flash out of range?? the auto has already started

The enemy can Flash your Auto if the Animation starts, but doesn't go to the point where the Damage Application is executed. For example, if the Animation has 10 Keyframes(K1 ... K10) it would go like this:

K1 -> K2 -> K3 -> K4 -> K5 -> K6 -> K7 -> K8 -> K9 -> K10;

where k1 would be the start of animation and k10 would be the end. The damage application usually happens around the middle of the animation so:

K1 -> K2 -> K3 -> K4 -> K5 -> Damage Application -> K6 -> K7 -> K8 -> K9 -> K10;

if the enemy Flashes somewhere between K1 and K5, the damage will not be applied.

that would make more sense if i had ever seen this before in the past 5 years of maining nidalee,

i very specially remember takedown hitting a person after they flash multiple countless times throughout the 5 years i have played league. and never once encountered this until yesterday

and now directly after a patch i encounter it twice in consecutive games?

that seems like a bit of a stretch.

i am now convinced its a bug.

the only other thing that has changed is i don't normally use bewitching skin, i normally use leopard and sometimes challenger.

but i don't think that could cause this particular issue

I've seen it happen many times. There is also a situation where the Damage application is executed right before the flash in which case the player flashes and the damage is applied after that. I've seen both cases many times.

It might have something to do with ping in conjunction with the animation. In addition to that, different skins can have different animations so if the Bewitching Nidalee and default Nidalee have different animations from a technical standpoint, the issue might be there.

that did cross my mind, but my ping has been the same as its always been. and unless the bewitching nid takedown animation starts WAY before the other animations do, or is just crazy faster.

i have seen from time to time takedown can get cancel if they leave range REALLY early in the animation

but i was nearly 90 degree through my 360 animation, that normally happens when im only like 5-15 degrees into the animation

and the damage is applied around that 95 degree mark from what.. i can tell. and i frequent animation cancel takedown with pounce well before the 45 degree point, even on bewitching nid.. so idk i guess that's possible but it seems highly unlikely

What you can do is go into Practice Tool and test the keyframes and the damage application on all the skins. Maybe it's a skin issue, maybe it's a bug. It's quite hard to tell at this point.

this happened again in the next match.. I'm starting to really think this is a bug.

i have been playing nid for 5 years.. never seen this.. then twice in a row the day after a patch?

yeah something was coded wrong

( going to clip it again)

do remember that garen's Q make his attack hit at K-78 and trying to flash it is utterly useless
