Malz was the exact same before his MYMU rework.

Malz isn't OP and, as hard as it may be for the boards to swallow, winrate doesn't mean everything.

spoiler alert: It was Support Malzahar, which had about a 47% winrate when I spammed him.

Anivia has been above 50% winrate for even longer than Malzahar. when do we gut the bird?

Assassins and champions who all in midlane are fairly common right now. Malzahars niche is the same as it was pre-rework - an anti-assassin. He far worse at it now due to base stat and base damage nerfs brought on by riots change for the sake of change policy (which resulted in a huge failure... nerfing a champion with a viable niche and dedicated playerbase into doing very little burst damage with high lockdown; the perfect support).

He has a high winrate at the moment like Ahri because hes in a meta that he excels at. Also, malzahar suffers from janna syndrome. When the ADC is good, malzahar is good. Hes an auxiliary support usually, either assassinating or locking down the enemy marksmen so the allied marksman can kill them.

Ahri has 49% winrate though. And ahri was gutted because she excelled in her meta.
