I think the new tank item that gives double health will be busted on some non tanks..

The new gargoyle item:

Gargoyle Stoneplate Aims to make tanky champions especially durable in the context of a teamfight, without making them so durable in solo play. Cost: 2500g (980g upgrade) Build Path: Chain Vest, Negatron Cloak Effects: +40 Armor +40 Magic Resist Unique Passive - Stone Skin: If 3+ enemy champions are nearby, grants +40 Armor and Magic Resist Unique Active - Metallicize: Increases maximum and current Health by 40% and increases champion size, but reduces damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds (90 second cooldown). If Stone Skin is active, the Health increase becomes 100% instead.

Is going to be busted on a few non tanks, mainly the true damage ones. Not as a rush item but as a 3rd to 6th item.

Fiora Will abuse this item to such extremes that it wont be fun to play against.

MasterYi Yes, he will abuse this hardcore late game and become super cancerous especially with his on hits.

Vayne I dont need to explain this...

but reduces damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds

Counter productive item for these champions, honestly. For them, it'd hurt them more than help.

They deal true damage, that why people are wondering whether their damage will be reduced or not. Most people think the true damage won't get reduced.

Oh yeah - I could see that. That does sound problematic, but in all, it would heavily reduce their damage because not all of their damage is true.

In Fiora's case I could see it really working out actually. She already only builds 2 damage items, so she can definitely fit it into her build. She's looking to hit 4 vital spots for the decent true damage, and also has that incredibly short cd on her q. by the time the damage reduction wore off she'd have all the vitals procced and have her cd's up to kill the person. I would see it being especially good for team fight scenarios. Turns a monster into a raidboss.

Yeah, definitely. That sounds pretty horrifying, honestly.

We'll have to see what Riot does here - if they make a special interaction with True Damage, continue like this, or change it in all.

All 3 of the listed champions have either large quantities of on hit true damage or %health true damage, which is not affected by the damage reduction during the active. And gaining +40-100% HP and 40-80 Armor/MR on an item for a single slot? Fucking sign me up.

Very true - however, not all of their damage is true! It'd be a problem for sure, but it sounds mainly reckless in my opinion.

I'd rather the new Guardian Angel on these champions.

I honestly do not see Vayne building this. Even so, I hope Riot decides to make it so the damage debuff actually effects true damage because it's self applied. Otherwise Darius (and Yi and Fiora) are going to be massive issues.

how to solve it:

make Gargoyle reduce all other stats, completely NEUTER your damage

Drops your AD, AP, and attack speed in tandem with the damage reduction. now Yi can't run at you with a ton of HP and 2.0 AS.

The damage reduction + cost wouldnt be feasible for most champions to use. Plus, its %HP. So a low HP character isn't going to get as much benefit from it as a tank who has a bunch of HP. Fiora would be the closest from your lsit since some Fioras go item 3071 item 3748 but then a Fiora with 60% less damage isnt really that scary ever.

Now Nautilus on the other hand... That shit might be terrifying late game. He already can reach a near unkillable level of tankiness by the end with W shield + keystone, so then you toss this one in on top of it and you'll have this massive hulking CC machine 1v5ing your entire team

What you fail to realize is that it is only for 4 seconds out of every 90 seconds maximum. For the rest of the time, the 40 armor and magic resist isn't all that useful for the champions you listed.
