There isn't enough bans to rid the cancer of each lane

Hibeki··4 votes·797 views

None of these champions have counterplay.

No dodging a skillshot is not counterplay, and no buying an item is not counterplay.

Bot cancer: Morg, Thresh, Blitz, Cait, Lucian, Jinx

Mid cancer: Syndra, Ziggs, orianna

Top cancer: Jayce, Nasus, Wukong

Jungle cancer: Kha'zix, Lee Sin, Amumu

There are not NEARLY enough bans to make up for the obvious imbalance and growth of the champion pool, you can ban out one lanes cancer and that's IF your captain listens to you and doesn't selfish ban his lane counters.

No none of these champions have counterplay. Dodging a skillshot is not counterplay, just because it's a skillshot doesn't make it balanced, it means it's not as broken as it would be if it was targeted.

All these champs have a lot in common. Most of them it take ONE ability to land for you to be game over. Sure you can dodge the skillshot, but that ONE time he hits you you are still dead and the game could possibly be changed.

Mid laners have too much AOE burst while still having lower cooldowns to follow up once people go in immediately after, while having siege and anti siege.

Kha'Zix after his 75th nerf, Jayce, Wu and Amumu cancer?

I don't even...

Hibeki1 votes

Jayces "Harass" knock's out 40% of your health while still having plenty left to 1hko two people

Wu has way too much scaling on his ult and e

amumu ult has it's own mechanic, thats a pretty big sign it shouldn't exist.

Oh no, a mechanic... You'd be a terrible game designer. Glad that you aren't in charge of any of the balance decisions.

Hibeki1 votes

when "A mechanic" is horribly unbalanced it needs changed. GET OVER IT.

insaiyanbacca3 votes

i dont even either.......i could see someone complaining about kha but anyone else on this list you just need to learn to play better to beat, besides maybe syndra

wolfax4 votes

I think you're just a whiny bastard who can't be bothered to actually learn to play against a champion. You'd rather the game be catered to your lack of desire to actually have to play. Thank god you are in charge of none of the balance decisions.

Look, game balancing is hard, but Riot does a great job with it. Some champions are better than others, there's no doubt about that, but that doesn't mean that they're impossible to deal with. Most of these champions require a lot of practice to get good and will still have weaknesses. For instance, just to pick one out, Nasus.

Nasus has a very slow early game. He HAS to farm, and is often thought of as a champion that would lose his lane. Sure, late game he can be terrifying, but if you can shut him down hard enough early game, then he can be a lot less of a problem than you're making him out to be.

A lot of your other "caners" are very squishy, which is their trade off. High risk for high reward. If you were to take away their damage, such as with a Kayle ult, they would be really fragile, for instance, Cait and Jinx. You could say that you'll never get close, but, again, if you can stay on top of them, they can be beaten.

Also, the fact that you can dodge their skill shots is another thing you could work with; you can get boots, maybe sacrifice your spell pen or whatever and get boots of swiftness, if you like. They give better movement speed than any other boots (other than mobi boots, but boots of swiftness work all the time) and it also gives you some slow resistance, so you can possibly escape from something like Jinx's Zap. Skill shots will almost always be balanced, because they can't be done by any old monkey with a blindfold. Usually. Most of the time, if you get a skill shot landed on you, you deserve it for being out in the open, or they were good at baiting you, or caught you out of position.

Sorry man, but I respectfully disagree.

Ok, before you use a word, please know what it means. Counterplay means you can play around their perks. Thresh has counterplay. Most of the champs you listed there have SOME counter play. Dodge his hook and he can't go in on you. Harass him when he walks out of brush for souls. Blink over the walls of the Box to take no damage from them. For Blitz? Avoid his grab and now he's pretty much useless unless you run in on him and let him knock you up.

Now Ryze? That guy you didn't mention? Ryze has no counterplay. If you're in his range, he hits you for his combo. If you're not, he doesn't. There's no counterplay to Ryze, just hoping you're stronger than he is in stats. Kayle is another champ with very little counter play. Her Q can't miss. If you're in range of her, it hits you. The only counterplay against Kayle is baiting out her ult or heal before hurting her.

Now you seem to think that dodging skillshots isn't counterplay... and building items against a champ isn't counterplay. I'd assume picking a champ that counters them isn't counterplay too... so what IS counterplay to you? If you wanna say those champs you listed are brokenly good, fine... but don't use words to make your point unless you're using them right.

Apparently when other people have the same opinion its encouraged.

but when i say it im wrong?

Kinda hurts your case when you insist that balanced champs like Nasus, Blitz, Cait and Jinx are cancer. Thresh isn't OP, he's just strong, and Morg is only strong because supports like Leona, Thresh, Braum, Blitz and Annie exist and are popular. Nobody gave a crap about her before, and suddenly, without any changes she's suddenly OP. Yeah, right.

There's a difference between directly buffing a champ, and indirectly buffing them by their item choices and counter nerfs.

Thresh Is OP, an instant escape for anyone in the game to pure safety is a toxic mechanic, you have to exploit a glitch in the mechanic by STANDING on top of the lantern to keep people from clicking on it.

Nasus isn't balanced, he kills towers in three hits and can 1 shot anyone in the game without a single offense item.

Cait isn't balanced, she has too much kite and is too safe for a long range carry.

Jinx isn't balanced, she has free stats galore at 400%

Blitz isn't balanced, 1 grab and you have a guarenteed kill.

"No dodging a skillshot is not counterplay, and no buying an item is not counterplay"

Then i found your problem

If you cant dodge a skill shot then what is the difference of just standing still and items like qss(vs CC), banshee(vs High burst), calling(vs heavy Sustain) are amazing items to counter build.

Someone obviously doesn't understand the meaning of counterplay.

Your supposed bot cancer can be solved with using either Nidalee or Sivir.

I'm pretty sure that it's mainly about outplaying. Sure there are always certain champions with strengths, but each of them can be countered. Just increase your champion pool and you'll find your way around the lane bullies!

No Fizz/Riven/Lee Sin in this list? You're doing it wrong.

Hibeki1 votes

forgot about ree sin

Riven at top lane, Fizz at Mid lane. Fiddlesticks in the jungle.

Just a few you should add OP.

Xerath would be my prime example of a champion that is just poorly-done in my opinion. He's all skillshots, sure, but there's not much to be done to play against him but hope he's bad with them. Some skill is definitely needed, but really it's almost all on the Xerath's side, not yours as to whether he hits you or not. Particularly if you're not a mobile champion or you have higher ping.

Then there's Nid who's much the same. Way too much range, a much too annoying poke tool. She's just unfun to play against. I can also agree with Syndra.

Most of the rest of the list, eh, I don't much agree.

Now I'm biased in favor of grabs/hooks because I love 'em and play Blitz and Thresh a lot. But Thresh's hook has enough of a delay I find it more balanced, and it's not a, "Now you're over here in inescapable dogpile of death range!", at least in lane. But more to the point, positioning gives you a lot of power. Just keep repositioning to put minions between you and them and you can frustrate me/them and make them pretty useless. Also their combination of lack of range and delay make me feel they're not such a problem.

Though Thresh is definitely too prevalent and I would agree he should probably be tweaked or outright nerfed since his constant prevalence is just boring.

But your point that there aren't enough bans is, I think, very true. I come from another game - three guesses which one - that features a lot more bans. I think it's a lot healthier for the game, means you get to ban things that are OP or bad for your composition and things you... just don't like to play against, that make the game less fun for you or you've been seeing too much of - the Nidalees, the Kats.

And I think the main reason we won't see more bans in League is the difference in the business model. In League you have to buy your champions. You have a comparatively small pool. They're not all unlocked. You add in seven bans and suddenly people need a LOT more champions unlocked and a much more diverse champion pool they can play well.

Still, I'd love it.

The whole point is not to completely ban all strong champions, but to leave some to be used. Of the ones you listed MAYBE half seem classified, as in your terms, "cancer".

I don't have a problem with any of the champs you listed except ziggs and that is only because of his stupid Q hit box. I would never waste a ban on him tho, totally not worth.

All the champs you listed have counterplay, if you are going to complain about needing more bans at least list ban worthy champs. Also when these things happen in ranked you have the ability to pick against them. If you are scared in bot lane then pick braum/leona. If you are scared in mid lane learn Ori, she was designed to be safe. Top? Pick a tank, learn mundo or even nasus (lol calling nasus cancer). Jungle? Amumu is so easy to play and so easy to counter i can't believe he was mentioned here. Pick Vi, udyr, Xin, hell even shaco lol.
