Mysticman891 votesWhile I am unlikely to spend money on a f2p game on principle, I don't feel that there's a strong link between someone wanting cosmetic skins and someones position on solo/dynamic queue.
The bigger thing is many people who are diehard solo players are going to continue to play dynamic queue, rather than quit ranked until solo returns, further bolstering dynamic queues numbers and given credence to some of the statements behind their decision to stick with just dynamic queue.

There was a thread stating that if people really want Riot at all to change from their misbehavior upon the community that a boycott would have to take place in the form of not playing Ranked or purchasing RP since by doing either of those it enables Riot to continue their misbehavior cause it shows that they can get away with it with no repercussions.
