Urgot is overtuned

The new direction is fine but removing his W limit AND the damage reduction for stacking legs has left him with far too much damage output and nonexistent Windows to actually fight him back. His win and pick skyrocketed overnight and his ban is climbing rapidly -- all troubling signs and he's quite frustrating to deal with on many meless due to how low CD his damage patterns become halfway into the game.

Strongly suggest either directly nerfing his damage or reverting his legs CD to what it was at the beginning where it capped at 6 seconds and not 2.5.

Genuinely asking, where do you get the statistics from?

I was looking at every site I could find but didn't find his actual numbers.

Lolalytics sort by this patch and not the last 7 days

Ah, found it and yes it seems troubling.

I agree that they have to fix the uptime of his shotgunknees. Juggernauts are supposed to have win conditions to play around of, yet they made his win condition way too reliable by shortening the CD of his passive so much. You can mindlessly spam your legs in lane and still have them almost all up every single fight.

We should go back to the point in which you had to use your knee procs thoughtful, so you don't end up against a forced fight with the enemy without any knees left and therefore no damage.

I god damn lost a gank to an ugot with item 3067 being kindred with item 3133 and item 1042 because of his flash and large w range that was so hard to kite, he had 400 hp and conquerer and managed to 100-0 me without seeming to take any damage from my whole kit.

I can believe I'm bad, but come ON, I didn't even get grabbed, I got 1v1'd and died in 3 seconds by an hp wielding bastard with 400 hp remaining.

With all due respect, him killing you WAS just him doing his job. He's a Juggernaut after all.

In terms of how, he probably managed to time his shield right to absorb most your damage, then since most Urgot players have item 1055 to make up for the lack of HP-Recover/Sustain via Heals, he Life-stealed back the HP after the shield wore off.

I realize since I wasn't in the game, I don't know EXACTLY how it went, but that's just my guess.

he had corrupting potion start and used it all going in on the toplaner, I try to play smart, I figured the only way I could fuck this up was if he actually grabbed me and that let him stack conq, but no, he just w'd and followed me... outdamaged me, missed so many q's, got off 2 passive spider legs. I really am furious about this. I tried so hard and was playing that game so well and he just brain dead w followed me...

I don't want to be salty but that's not cool when I'm even a level above him. procing execute e and everything, but yes, a lot of my damage was caught by his shield because he tried to grab me and missed, if your thinking minions I kited him into the jungle, we fought in the tri bush. It was just that w damage melting me for free, I can't top that as kindred.

Why does a juggernaut need to have so much range though?

"Why does a juggernaut have so much range?"

He's the shortest ranged in the game, his range is closer to Irelia's than ADCs. If he Q's you should be Qing as kindred to dodge it and make his W useless. You likely were too overconfident and wasted your mobility in which case any juggernaut would kill you there

Why does a juggernaut need to have so much range though?

If we want to get technical about it, his actual numerical attack range is 350. That's 150 less than Kindred, or ADC's like Sivir or Lucian. Urgot mostly got the additional range on you via the Shotgun-Legs he procced (they deal damage in cone-shaped splashes, after all). In addition, the W does damage on its own, it just procs the passive legs for additional boosts. You actually could have danced outside his range I believe, as his W still attacks at that same AA Range of 350.

He must have hit you with some other ability, as if the W followed you, then he must have applied his W's passive, "Purge". Hitting a champion with abilities other than his W marks them with "Purge", a passive effect that causes his W to prioritize that target marked with it. (If you don't believe me, you can go look at his ability descriptions on the LOL Wiki, which are taken directly from the game itself.)

So, simply put, he played the encounter right for the most part.

I feel cheated, but that's definitely something that seems reasonable to a fault.

I swear I dodged it all, but I can't really be certain without double checking.

I don't have to look up the range increase for purge, I've only played him twice but I can understand that. thanks though.

I definitely would target the damage of the legs. If we went back to hitting the cooldown of them, it would be harder for him to fight late game. Nerfing the damage considering there's no reduction modifier makes a ton more sense in this scenario (especially with them wanting him to build more damage than tank). I would probably suggest lowering the % max health damage and slightly lower the ad ratio on it as well.

I think he needs a window. At the moment he basically becomes a MASSIVE stat check that thanks to his good base damage and autokill ultimate he's very likely to win most of the time

There should be a larger window of exploitation

Eh, they could up the cooldown on the legs, but 6 seconds is gonna hurt. Maybe give him his level 11 cooldown and add possibly add .5 or .75 on top of it (5.5 or 5.75 respectively).

He just came back from being literally the worst top laner in the game by far Give the guy a break, shit like Riven Fiora Jax is still allowed to run rampant and destroy games. PlusUrgot's counters are much more apparent in soloQ than proplay, a prime example being Tryndamere

Madsin252 votes

Let's think back to before he was the worst(which is debatable as Aatroxhas had a lower WR).

Urgot Pre-nerfs was untouchable.

feintfiend2 votes

Urgot was disgusting in proplay because he was the ultimate blindpick and could flex mid, there were very few hard matchups. Urgot was picked for his safety but there were better champs that excel in damage/tankiness/scalingetc. However he wasn't tier 1 in soloQ like Jax Riven Vladimir because he had actual counters that could outduel him in lane AND outscale him such as Tryndamere and Fiora

His issue is that he is weak until lvl 9 (when you get perma W)

he is a lot like Kayle where she is crap and then suddenly becomes God
