i cant stick to champs cause whenever i lose i need to find another strategy to climb like: -oh let's stick to my mains from other seasons (these don't work anymore) -lets use a thing like lolpickforme.com or lolmasters champion select tool -oh let's try the most picked stuff in masters, these should be meta and should be op -well let's change role maybe it will help -omg let's look my highest winrate champs from all seasons to see what i should play -oh come on let's just fill so i don't get autofilled players -lets look highest winrate in masters, this should be the op meta -nah man it's silver same but adjusted to the elo, oh wu and rumble mid are op? lets play them -hm let's do the same but eliminate non-meta picks

  • oh freaking hell im just gonna play yas and zed if they arent banned -heh fuck the meta ill build what i feel is good for me
  • uh guess ill look the most picked builds in master
  • what about highest win rate builds? -OMG IM GETTING INSANE!!!!!

Have a primary role and a secondary role, each with a primary champion and a backup. Stick with them because you enjoy playing them, get better at them. Use probuilds for a decent idea of items and masteries, then focus on learning your role and champion, as well as how to play around objectives. You'll have a very hard time improving and focusing on macro play if you don't have a good understanding of your champion and role, and macro play makes a large difference.

I use a rule of 20 for champions I really want to main. can I play them and win over 50% outta sets of 20. When no, retire them until the meta has a clear shift and try again if I want to.

Tier lists, top tier play and streamers. They don't exactly help. Lets put some arbitrary numbers here to illustrate my point. Lets say you love Shyvana . You like an off meta build on her but the meta build has a much strong best case. Off meta caps at "7" and meta is "10"Should you then use the meta build? depends, how much usage can you get outta the champ and playstyle off your skill? If your actual performances in games using the off meta build are say "5-6" but when you try the meta thing your struggling and preform at a "2-4" Your hurting yourself and teammates playing something your not good at. What others are doing is meangless if you cant imitate the results. Hell if all you care about is climbing then countering meta picks are an ideal way to do that so long as your self aware about your skill on your picks.

You don't have to stick to 1 champ. You don't have to stay with one playstyle. It will take a lot more time to develop more then just OTP. If what you enjoy is mixing things up then Id recommend you build a pool. 2-3 champions in each role you love.

Most players will never climb to the top. The most fun you can have is to play what you enjoy and do your best to improve and see growth on your skill as you play. watching yourself get better is a rewarding experience for a lot of folks.

Playing to win, and playing to climb are not necessary the same things. Know what one matter more to you.

High elo ajd low elo mera tier lists are comoletely different. One is consisting easy to play champions with high dmg sich as Udyr and Master Yiwhile high elo is composed of high skill cap and hard learning curve champions like Aurelion Sol and Camille. You should NOT be maining high elo champions unless they fit your playstlyle, just like Camille fit MY playstyle and I'm a proud ~500k Camille main.

This is why I recommend watching Mobalytics patch tier lists on Youtube, they make tier lists and Q&A's for every patch.

1.Pick a champion(or two) you really like to play

2.Watch streams of one tricks playing these champions. (Riste for garen, zwag for xerath, foggedftw2 for tryndamere as examples)

3.Carry your silver teammates on your back.
