This same crap happened when they got pushed out of bot lane by morde, ziggs etc. going bot.
This game is not hard to fix if you'd stop being stubborn and actually listen to the playerbase

I'd rather them not HAVE to be constantly ganked to be dealt with. It's not like nasus where you gank once or twice then you can easily handle him alone. Due to both range and mobility as well as self-peel picking a melee champ in the top lane is basically suicide and you're forced to pick a ranged one to have a chance
