Unpopular Opinion: Adellaideskyhart shouldn't be banned, nor should he be punished at all.

From Riot's Acceptable Behavior page: https://s21.postimg.org/cmum9olwn/Untitled.png

The rest of the argument is in the video I've linked. In a nutshell, don't ban someone for not sticking to the meta. What alternative has Riot given for someone who wishes to play like this? None. Punishing him is wrong and shows the exact reason why so many people have been leaving this game.

I 100% support the Singed player. He has a positive WR, he activity tries to win games and if successful I think a counter jungle/level 2 gank before hitting bot can affect the game much greater than holding the hand of the ADC for the first 1.5 minutes, especially during the time when the enemy can't afford to be hit by a tower shot. Also it's extremely common for an unconventional play to win the game simply by throwing off the enemy team.

As for the sightstone, screw it nobody else wards pre diamond anyway.

This is all a matter of perspective.

When you hear the story, you are hearing that he got banned BECAUSE he played Singed support.

In reality he got banned because of the fact that he consistently forced Singed support on his teammates despite their objections.

Furthermore, the way he played those matches was so unconventional that his teammates were unable to adapt to the strategy, and most often left his ADC extremely vulnerable in a 1v2 lane. This crippled the bot lane and put his team behind, often with a loss of first blood and first tower, giving the enemy team a fed ADC and support.

So it was not the fact that he played Singed support. He could have played the lane conventionally and everything would have been just fine.

And it doesn't even matter that it was an off-meta champion. If he refused to play support as anyone other than Lulu, who is definitely accepted as a support, he is limiting his teams ability to form an effective strategy.

Also, if he had picked a conventional support and decided to play in the same way, he would also be creating a poor experience.

The fact that he intentionally and consistently repeated this behavior, even after having been temporarily suspended by Riot in attempt to get him to stop, is why he was banned.

Riot made it very clear when they released the new champ select that if you refuse to play the lane you have been assigned by the system, and your team is not ok with you playing a different lane than your assigned one, the that is bannable. If riot did not enforce the lanes they assign to people, then the new champ select would be meaningless as you'd still have people arguing over lanes and locking into a lane by pick order.

This guy queues up as botlane support, get's assigned the botlane support role, and then goes and does a double jungle instead. If he talks to his team and they say 'ok, we are comfortable with you not going to your assigned lane (such as in the case of a lane swap or something)' then it would be fine, but they are not ok with it for obvious reasons and by deciding to not go to his assigned lane despite their protests he is in violation of the lane assignment rules of new champ select.

End of story, this isn't a meta enforcement issue its an issue of him breaking the rules regarding playing your assigned lane.

Seriously Riot... You ban good players who try to expand the meta because a bunch of 10 year old kids can't handle change? This is how garbage you have become Riot?

  1. Support counter jungling was a legit strategy a few seasons back.
  2. They guy has a positive win ratio.
  3. He was shown to communicate his strategy before the game.
  4. You're own rules state that playing non meta is okay
  5. Whenever little kids lose a game they always blame the person who was not sticking to the meta regardless if it was actually their fault or not.

I wish the youtuber did not blank out the Riot employees name... I really want to know who it was.

It was not the fact he played Singed, it was the fact he forced his double jungle strategy on his teammates and considering nothing else

I got to admit after thinking about it for a while i can understand why people would want him banned!

He is constantly creating "negative experiences" for other players! Mainly for the ADC and the enemy jungler (imagine you are the one getting invaded... by a singed... I for example would hate that) And you are basicly supposed to not do anything that creates those... including not feeding, flaming, blaming, not-warding, not-building-meta, not-playing-meta... etc.

But lets be honest compared to what he does, flaming and raging is far worse in regards to that. Well you can brush flaming and raging aside as "just having a bad game" and say that he is doing it on purpose... but i doubt both of these parts!

I don't want to say what he is doing is right... but at least it's not entirely wrong! Since he seems to be trying to communicate AND is doing something that helps his team (you can't say that about 80% of the players in Gold/Plat). PLUS he actually does what his role should be supposed to do... SUPPORT (his team). It's calles support for a reason and not ADSitter or WardDobby...

I rather have HIM on my team than 80% of the ADCs I meet in Gold/Plat (yes as a S3-S5 support i hate those to the bone)!

If that guy gets banned... I don't know... probably have a "negative experience" regarding league i guess... and be pissed!

really pissed!
