To 'mage supports' (there is some salt at the start, but please read)

This is a very salty post, but just please listen (or read). Why did I have to get matched with a support (I know this was in normals but who cares) that didn't buy a sightstone and put the LEAST amount of wards in the team. Like WTF. I know it's normals and they don't really matter, but seriously, this support put down 8 wards and just built full AP? It was a Lux support aswell.

So to the people that play support as someone like Lux or Annie: there is NO excuse for you to not buy a sightstone in a game. If you don't do this, then just don't play support. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't build any AP, it means that you should ALWAYS buy a sightstone. And you see this item item 2301? This item right here gives you AP AND wards!

So instead of just building full AP and acting like the mid laner, if you're playing a mage support, Eye of the Watchers should be like the first item you get. There should not be an excuse for you to not buy a sighstone as a support.

Anyone who legit calls themselves a "Support Main" (I do) understands the power of Vision Control. It's the auto-fills that have no idea what the role does that think you'll do better without one.

I feel like when a Lux/annie support doesn't build a sightstone they are just thinking "la da di i have no item 2049 but i has item 3089 :D"

I am a Support main that leans towards the AP playstyle.

I buy a item 2301 every single game. It is critical to vision.

I play mage supports and always get eye, unless my ADC is complete shit (0/6 with 32 CS at 15m) and i am ahead, in which case i direct them to buy item 2302 for the wards and gold income, and when they rage, simply ignore them.

Playing mage supports in public matched games is a sort of insurance policy; if you detect your adc is complete trash, you can just begin kill(steal)ing, ignore them, and proceed to play like a midlaner, thus giving your team a 4v5 instead of a 3v5 situation.

Not just Lux or Annie. I have seen hundreds of enemy supports who don't build vision. I am support main, and depending of who I am playing, I always get either item 2302 or item 2301 I always build ap-support, but vision and mana sustain are the things I build first.
