Fnatic vs SKT showed us what is wrong with the game

Neither of the bot lanes had a traditional ADC. Instead it was Garen vs Kayle. Faker took Tristana mid and absolutely stomped Nemesis as he was able to chunk 3/4 of his HP bar by level 3 thanks to his E. Let's not forget the top lane, though. Actually, I did forget that the Gangplank and Akali were even in the game. By 15 minutes, thanks to the mighty Rift Herald, SKT were able to delete Fnatic's outer mid lane turret, and half of the inner turret.

Apart from all of this, though, the game was just boring to watch. Except for Nemesis bursting somebody down at like 1 HP, there wasn't really a 'WOW' or 'POG' factor in this game. SKT were able to steamroll Fnatic, and fights were over within like 10 seconds. I understand that some games will end up this way, where one team just dominates the other, but this is beginning to happen so frequently that it's just not fun to watch anymore. SKT had 21 kills compared to Fnatic's 9, had a gold advantage of 8k, and destroyed 9 turrets compared to 3. Teamfights were just Faker jumping around all over the place thanks to Tristana's super balanced resets, which just wasn't impressive to watch at all.

Riot, if you want to balance the game around Pro Play, that also means balancing it for the rest of the playerbase. Because if this 99% of your playerbase decides to quit the game due to its poor balancing, there won't even be a pro scene for you to balance the game around.

No it doesn't. Just like how lane swapping didn't show the problems during there metas. 99% of the play base has no clue how the fuck to play. Balancing around the best players is always better that is a fact.

I just watched a game where a team had 3 fucking infernal dragons and still lost.

Like are you watching worlds since most teams are basically playing normals teams.

Fnatics team was shit. Like if you looked at the players they played worst and there champions were just worse.

I do agree that it is quite frustrating to see pro players abuse a meta that we just can't in soloq, unless we are in a duo. We should be able to look up to pros and feel like we can become the next Faker. However, the bot lane mages and adcs in both top and mid lane is just something that feels like we are getting spit in the face. The playerbase needs to relate to pros and this doesnt seem possible right now. I do, however, have to disagree about the steamroll effect you mentionned. The game is too snowbally right, I won't question that. However, SKT are a really good team and taking them down requires a lot of creativity of similar team power, which I believe FNC lacked in this game(shotcalling, confidence, etc). As for the point about Tristana, I believe champions should not be balanced around pro-play, unless there is a champ who is much too strong at this level. In this case, only nerfs should take place, preventing a powercreep, which is already happening.

The only reason Garen is being picked is because Yuumi is so incredibly busted.
