With roaming supports, do you think the meta could possibly change?

It's been a long time since the meta has shifted in any significant way. I dunno about you guys, but I'm kind of sick of it. With Bard coming out, and the few champions that can pass as a roaming support, I was thinking of ideas to try out.

My personal favorite one that I thought of is based around shifting and moving around at a moment's notice, taking highly mobile champs combined with those that have enough cc to keep their targets there, and catching out enemies. Bard support, solo mobile champion bot (examples include Kennen, Akali, Shen, Riven, Irelia, Jax, Diana) heavy cc tank jungler (naut, amumu, vi, j4) mobile assassin mid (ahri, zed, talon, kass), split pusher/ranged adc/another mobile assassin top (Nasus, Rengar, vayne, jayce, Teemo would actually work pretty well with the shrooms considering this is a teamcomp to catch opponents out.) So yeah, like I said, with this teamcomp your goal is to just catch out opponents. During the lane phase you'll have the advantage of your jungler and Bard/whatever roaming support you picked ganking at the same time. You can either split up, or gank one lane with both champs or even both. Bard and jungler gank top while your mid roams bot. Very fast paced and it'll take a lot of teamwork to master, but I think this one has a lot of potential to be a very good comp with high objective control. My biggest concern with it is that the enemy team would group up and you'd lose the advantage once that happens, but that's solved with the top lane split pusher. Someone is going to have to go up to stop him, most likely even more than one person, when that happens, you catch that person out with wards, kill them, then continue doing what you're doing.

What do you guys think? And have you got any ideas of your own?

for supports to change fro being mostly with the ADC to being a roaming role they and the champ they are around would have to get reduced experience to make it not a good idea to have them in the same area all the time.

But suggest this change and everyone freaks out since it would change the meta of support + ADC bot which to be honest has become stale and bland.

Seeing as supports are equipped with gold income and additional experience gain they are very adequately adapted to roaming already. However the catch is (and where the current meta usually catches out off-meta ideas like this) is what happens to bot lane. When said support is roaming that leaves the other bot laner alone, so you need a champ that can effectively 2v1. This can usually be left to AoE, less mobile mages like Anivia but the you need to have high sustained physical damage for objectives and teamfights.

Melee carries in the jungle and a marksman top/mid can accomplish this but leaves them at an overall disadvantage against organized counterplay. Personally, I think moving the marksman to top lane. Giving the roaming support teleport (saved for the inevitable dives in top/bot), having an AoE mage/wave-clear mage in bot lane, an assasin or poke-mage in mid-lane and a tank in jungle would be the best refined approach on this idea. My personal opinion of course.

That was my original idea, but I thought this one would be more fun. As for ranged damage for objectives, Teemo and Jayce are perfect, and they nearly always win the lane phase which is ideal for my idea. Plus, like you said you could have anivia bot lane, not insanely great at providing damage for towers, but is insanely good at making sure the enemy can't bother you while you take towers and even drag/baron.

Roaming support isn't meta changing, that's still quite common already, always has been. There are downsides though. The support could possibly get caught by the enemy jungler or simply waste time due to being spotted by wards. If a marksman is left 1v2 bot then they will likely get zoned and lose cs/exp, and the support also loses exp/gold. Support exp/gold masteries and items require you to be in lane and last hitting creeps or harassing the enemy. But yeah, roaming support is already common.

I'm not just talking about a roaming support. I'm talking about an entirely new teamcomp to go with the idea of a roaming support. In my comp, I wouldn't have adc going bot because it's dumb to have an adc 2v1 an adc + support. If I had an adc, I'd send them top lane where they can farm to their heart's content and not worry too much about dying considering how passive it is up there now and how many built in escapes most of them have.
