Grind up all those fragments, use your last chest hoping for something you can use aaaand..... champion. I have literally no use for it. I can't use them, disenchanting them gives me blue essence which I can't use for anything, and I can only turn them into another champion that I already have. Why waste my keys and chests?

If you get 3 champ shards, you can get a champ you don't own... but that's only if you have them. I get what Riot is doing, none the less, and this complaint isn't too drastic. The only complaint I have is the fact a new player only gets one free champ that they could achieve in a day (Garen or Ashe). Why not at least make it more random? And keep it above the 3150 bracket. Give them something that they would have to work for, something that could take a month of games rather than a day. I'd be thrilled to get a Wukong for free over a Poppy because I could buy Poppy and the rest of the 450s in a month or two but Wukong would take two weeks by himself.

CreamPi310 votesI agree a bit with you guys but what stops me from complaining on the forums is the fact that all of this is free and we don't have to buy chests and keys with RP. It would actually be sort of silly to buy chests and keys with RP knowing that champion shards come from them and that you have all champions. My last 2 chests gave me champions that i already have so if I actually had all champions and just wanted skins I wouldn't buy the chest because I know for a fact that I'm going to get champion shards and it would be a waste of RP. At the end of the day we are being rewarded for what we do anyways and that's simply playing.

Don't spend real money on chests that could give you nothing. I feel like people are trying to use this system as a way to quickly unlock the rest of the champions they don't own as well as get your skins. The system isn't meant for that, its just meant to give you a small incentive and reward for playing your best. If the system is a "failure" as you say then they could just remove it and we all get nothing.

Except it's not free. The free part is extremely and intentionally limited to encourage participation in the nonfree part.
Hextech crafting was a good idea so poorly executed that it has to be considered a failure. Time to take it back to the drawing board.

Right now it just seems redundant and even if you disenchantment them all so you have essence for a new upcoming champion, you'll probably have enough ip that wouldn't care about using essence.

Zero Skill Tank2 votesYeah that's a serious flaw of this system, I get how they don't give you 48 skin shards a year for free, but it shouldn't just drop champions, it must be really dissatisfying for players who have most of them - and those are likely most dedicated players out there.
And I don't mean it's flaw only from player's point of view, I personally - and I think many people like me - aren't going to ever buy any piece of hextech stuff for RP, because right now if I don't want champions, it seems I'm better off just getting skins for full price, old way.

Alleo2 votesI own all the champions and had 3 fragments for champions when Aurelion Sol was released. If you reroll them it HAS to be the one you don't own before being any you do own. So my advice is to just save them up for champion releases to get free champions.
