Kindred's passive doesn't work and ult doesn't fit

There is no reason the enemy should be allowed to see the marks in their jungle. It's not as if you get complete vision of a Shaco or Evelynn who comes into your jungle to kill you, and they don't even have to go into the enemy jungle to do their job. Making it skuttle for the first mark doesn't mean much either, since in both scenarios the enemy can and will be able to beat you in a duel. There are very few junglers with the base stats to lose to Kindred in a 1v1. L

It should be exactly like fighting an Ivern. You ward extra and change your path to account for the fact he's extremely likely to come into your jungle.

As for the ultimate, it makes no sense with the theme of the champion nor the rest of the kit. The duality of the champion is not life/death, and the fact every other ability lamb uses is a damage dealing arrow attests to that. But even in the lore, Lamb is no less of a killer than Wolf. She is the option of a quick death by arrow while he chases those who run from their fate. There is no respite. Even in their short story, she isn't saving a woman, it simply wasn't her time yet and Lamb returns when it is.

My recommendation is to turn wolf into an actual pet for a time, with a slow every three attacks like the E and changed effects for the W and E while it's active. And a full body model. Maybe a leap with every one of Wolf's autos while inside the W's range along with the %hp damage it normally does. And the E could reset the center position of the W every time it procs.

Even if my idea seems like it'd never work, it still stands the ult doesn't fit. Like Rek'sai, it just needs to be completely changed.

Making a new "shape-shifter" wouldn't be bad and would actually fit the theme. Problem is, Wolf would look too much like Warwick (same thematic, hunter). Kindred 's concept is a failure (even if I love the theme of this champ)

I disagree. He would look like an actual wolf, much more like the mob than the wolfman that is Warwick, but with his distinct color and mask.

Yeah yeah, I know they don't look the same, but their purpose would basically be the same. They really look alike

It's just not there. You could say it sounds too much like Daisy, but I'm not suggesting anything similar to Warwick.

Lamb's Respite is and always has been the best part of Kindred's design. They're Yin/Yang. That's why Lamb is light and Wolf is dark. Without life, there is no death. And without death, there's no meaning to life. The only other spells that come even close to nailing thematic as well as Lamb's Respite is Twisted Fate's Destiny or Nocturne's Paranoia.

You're right about the duality of the design, but wrong about what it is. It is not life/death. Hel in Smite is a healer/mage transformation character. That is life and death. Kindred is death and death in the lore as well as in the game. I'm not even sure you read the story if you think lamb has anything to do with preserving life. Lamb is the option of a swift, painless death. Wolf is for those who fight the inevitable and must be chased.

There is actually no other spell that is as far from a champion's thematic than Lamb's Respite except for maybe Thresh's Dark Passage or Tahm Kench's Devour on allies.

...You're talking to someone who has 400,000 Mastery on the champion. Of course I've read the lore. You miss the point completely. As the embodiment of death Kindred choose who live, who die, and when. Lamb's Respite gives them that authority mechanically.

Your mastery on the champion has nothing to do with your understand of the lore. You miss the point completely, and I feel sorry if you chose to main a champion who's not all that good based on a misunderstanding if its story.

Kindred does not choose who lives. Each person has their time and Kindred is there to make sure they die. At no point in the story does Kindred actively save the life of a dying person.

NO you CANT change kindreds visuals they look so good and making it like that really wouldnt fit the theme since they are together ( never one without the other ) and in this case they would just switch which is not good. I do want their passive changed since i agree they are terrible at 1v1 early, and ult at least needs to heal allies more or not heal enemies at all, it doest fit their theme but its just weird and often bad for you and good for enemies

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Huh? I wasn't suggesting they switch. I said wolf should become a pet for a duration. The visual would remain exactly the same except for when the ultimate is active.

oh sry for misunderstanding, with that i agree. I read a lot of ult suggestions for kindred and i do like some of them especially the ones that have sinergy with his passive, lore wise i think that for ult it would be good to also create an area like that and it gives a buff or something to kindred and his allies ( or maybe only kindred ) BUT if the enemies leave the area they refuse to die peacefuly and then wolf starts chasing them dealing massive amount of damage and inflicting griveous wounds
