Why its hard to climb the ladder out of bronze and silver

Many people just want to FF, either FF win or FF lose.

They get behind a few kills and they give up and wait for 20 min to surrender

Once one or two teammates tilt or give up the match is over and everyone suffers.

This combined with the current snowball heavy meta, it makes it hard for people to keep trying, most matches you can come back, but you can't if you already give up in the first 5-10 min.

Which is another reason why the current snowball heavy meta is unhealthy for the game, because its just the thought, "If they get ahead in first 5 min then we lose" that cause a lot of low elo players to just give up. You get behind in lane and its like, "peace, maybe next game"

But im no expert, lemme know what you think about climbing the ladder? Any tips or tricks that can help lower elo players get generally better? What specific things do low elo players lack?

I think the issue (if you can call it that) is that there is quite a large skill difference between players in those divisions. You can have pretty good players on your team or ones that struggle with the basics even though they are both in B3 for example. The same goes for the enemy team. Do we need another division? I don't know but from my experience the skill of players in bronze and silver is very inconsistent. Just my 2 cents.

No another division does not need to be made the reason you see this is for those good players you see are the ones who will one day climb out of silver into better things and the bad players are the ones who are where they belong. you see this in all divisions

THats not 100% true either though. Yes in bronze, silver, and maybe gold. The skill difference is defiantly there. But in bronze and low silver, the skill difference is huge.

Getting ,"lucky" wins in bronze is a very common thing, teams troll each other, people DC or quit, and it makes it hard to have a real test of skill.

But especially with the new updates coming in for new players leveling, we're going to see a huge rise in the number of new players that have really no idea what they're doing, or that have learned the most basic mechanics, who'll enter bronze. These brand new players are matched up with players who have finally started to figure things out and know a lot more of what they're doing and have put more time in learning the game.

These two groups of people shouldn't be in the same match. Yes they're the same skill gaps in higher elo but no where near the extreme of brand new level 30's, and those who are silver or gold skilled, but stuck in a silver or bronze elo just due to bad luck really.

Do some people luck out and get into gold off of haveing better teams? Yes, this is indeed true, but thing is luck will only get you so far, after a certain point luck no longer works, this is around high gold after your gold you need to be legit good to climb, if you are not you won't.

I agree some can get lucky that far but not alot, most get stuck in bronze and silver and just keep cycling through. The issue is more that bronze is the welcoming gate to all new, and all practicing, and all accomplished.

The new can't do anything, the practicing have good mechanics but terrible team work, and decision making, and the accomplished are winning most of their matches and try really hard to upgrade wards, to place pink/normal wards, to stay in good position, to rotate for ganks, to split push, to push lanes out, to freeze lanes, to hug tower if behind, to push and advantage, when to go back and buy and when to presforward a hair more.

I'd say 30% of bronze is brand new players, 60% are terrible working together but have their champs mechanics down well, and the other 10% took time to learn the game properly and now are very slowly climbing.

Those ratios go out to most of silver with just less new players.

Mist games people can come back. I wouldn't blame the meta for how people are avting though. People have ALWAYS had that mentality in the game and it is one of the most confusing things to me. Even in the current meta, I've had many games go past 30 minutes if not longer because people don't know how to close a game out or it's actually really close.

90% of this game is mental. The other 10% is just actually playing the game I think.
