The reason why i hate keystone masteries.

I'm playing a smurf and trying to level up, currently level 9.

I'm playing against people in their mid 20's oftentimes and they go into lane with fervor of battle and grasp of the undying... i automatically lose all trades because of this.

That's the point though, when trying to level up on smurfs it makes it really unfair when it's lvl 17 vs lvl 18. They need to remove the lvls=mastery points bullshit. They made masteries way more important than they used to be and now lowbies are paying the price.

You are matched up with people your skill level. Very few actual newbies would be paired up with lvl 20 people, so I think the problem is your decision to make a smurf account, not the masteries themselves.

It's serious, it's just not widespread since the majority of players are level 30. Instead of streamlining the system, Riot ignored it which is why so many people are getting away with selling level 30 accounts. Levels 1-29 should revolve around learning the actual game, but instead you don't get access to runes (finally fixing it), masteries (season 6 made it worse), and summoner spells. Why should someone go through 7 levels to reach level 8 and finally unlock the most popular summoner spell summoner 4 ? There isn't really a reason and I can't imagine they sell THAT many xp boosts for the money to warrant their notorious leveling system. You don't get to actually play League of Legends as it is until level 30. It's like, oh you want to play our "free" game? Put a month of time into a game sort of like it and then you can start from scratch on the real game.

You think it's bad in 1v1 lanes, try being an ADC when you AND your support both lack keystones against an enemy Fervor Trist and Thunderlord's Lux. That's a completely outrageous amount of free damage...
