people who say this are the same bloody people that wanted to keep exhaust overpowered as fuck

can you think for like 2 seconds?

right now above master it's impossible to play an assassin at all because adcs and midlaners are able to build ninja tabi and counter a 6000 gold itemization with a single 1100 gold item

further more, Toplane right now is basically decided by whoever has ninja tabi first in lane If you die one time and enemy laner has it you will lose all trades If enemy top rushed it you can't do damage anymore and he will be able to stall the lane as much as he wants

So it means 2 things if you believe that ninja tabi shouldn't be nerfed for adcs;

Either you're not playing the game on a high level and cannot see how broken this item is, and how it makes playing the game aids, which is fine i won't blame you for this. Or you want bruisers/assassins to remain unviable indefinitly and try to manipulate opinions by bringing up adcs because this boards cannot think beyond what hurts adcs or not.

And i'm happy that it doesn't matter in the end because ninja tabi will be nerfed, and asssassins will exist once again in high elo

i feel with you dude, i cant even play zed without having 3+ ninja tabis in enemy team adc always gets it and then GA later so he has 140 armor and is unkillable

I'm saying that he isn't low elo, he knows what the game is and how to balance it at this point as shown by his rank. Saying he will circlejerk (like most low elo players do) is wrong. He doesn't want Tabi to be strong even though he knows damage is high, that's what justified balance is. That's why you're doing him no justice by being stupid and missing his entire point.

my opinion may not be valid because i reached challenger, but there is no way i would complain about dying in 2 hits because ninja tabi got nerfed

And yet Zed and Talon both have straight buffs as well on PBE.

Nerfing Tabis is fine but over tuning both of them (plus Rengar) is going to make playing Mages obsolete. Personally I'm not a fan.

Nerfing Tabis in your sense would indeed nerf ADs because it would make as you said playing Assassins viable meaning ADCs will be instagibbed.

There are plenty of "bruisers" that are viable, even with Ninja Tabi in it's current state. If you keep running into people who buy Ninja Tabi no matter what just play an AD caster instead of an auto attacker. There are plenty of them to choose from that have no issue with those boots.

That said I'm looking forward to the coming nerf. Marksmen and others got my Swifties nerfed a while back, and I'm more than happy to see these Tabi abusers get their reward. On top of that maybe the nerf will help highlight some of the issues people have with Marksmen right now.

More specifically I said plenty, which while similar to many covers a smaller group. I know there are not many, but for someone who primarily plays these champions there are enough that are viable to get by.

And yes, there are more than two.

That's why it's important to check good sites like LoLalytics, League of Graphs, and OP.GG before making statements, and check more than just one elo range.

Personal experience can help for giving advice, but making balance statements requires knowledge of a larger scope. Every elo plays this game after all.

I adhere to the principle the game plays differently over the elos, viability is different across elos, the meta should thus get treated differently across elos. I think its fine for this to be the case.

What they dont realise is that nerfing tabi is more of an adc nerf than anything.

Tabi fks melee ad/bruisers and assassins a lot harder than it does adc.

The item is just ridiculously broken, hope they nerf it to 20 armor + 8% aa damage reduction, or maybe even 15 armor.

I dont care if it becomes weak, better than it being insanely overpowered.

For the top lane cases specifically, I'd want to see the impact of the Conqueror Keystone before deciding what nerf Ninja Tabi need. True damage does not care about Tabi's Armor, nor its damage reduction passive.

Beyond that, I think that Riot will basically have three options for Tabi nerfs:

  1. Cost increase. This nerfs all uses equally. Might be the best option if Tabi are generally too strong.
  2. Reducing their Armor value. This hurts the use on ADCs somewhat harder than the use against ADCs.
  3. Hitting the passive in some way. This hurts Tabi harder in their use against ADCs, but less in their use on ADCs.

Ultimately, I feel like hitting the Armor is probably the best solution here. Simply reducing the Armor by 5 should work against the issue you describe.

you're right that conqueror will fixe part of the problem for toplane but remember that only 20% of your damage is true damage, not 100%

so the damage reduction from ninja tabi still impacts you a lot

same way irelia is impacted by ninja tabi, because only 19% of her damage is true damage (according to leagueofgraph)

The tabis still would reduce the true damage dealt, as they reduce auto attack damage.

Tabi's needs a nerf as PornStar Zilean (not naming or shaming, just using him for reference) posted a short video on twitter of him and another Draven with the same runes, except one person had Tabis and PStar Zilean had a pickaxe on Draven. Despite the face that its a slightly cheaper item, the trades they were putting against eachother was the same, and Tabi's has been an issue in general.

I mean, Ezreal and Varus (two of the most played ADCs currently) aren't even as inconvenienced by Tabis as other ADCs since the passive doesn't affect Mystic Shot or on-hit effects.

And another thing is, I know most people are going to give me flak for saying this but you even feel it when you're 3-0 as Fiora or Darius. Someone builds Tabi against you and it feels like they negated 2 of your kills.

( Mind you they build it too my point is im just saying that its such a good item its kind of bullshit against everyone right now)
