If Fiora is supposed to be a hypercarry why does she have lane sustain
I thought her early game is supposed to be exploitable
I thought her early game is supposed to be exploitable
i mean so do a lot of hyper carries, or champs who are supposed to by hyper carries
(not sure if she counts but im putting her anyway)
nasus is not a hyper carry
vlad is completly balanced around his sustain since 7 years
GP sustain is trash, it's great don't get me wrong but it costs a huge fcking amount of mana while only being good if he low, totally different from fiora

vlad can still one shot adcs no counterplay xd
Yeah, no.
nasus is not a hyper carry
yeah but he is supposed to be, he isn't one because he is completely outdated, he isn't supposed to fall off the way he does now, he is supposed to be a late game raid boss, but also has lane sustain to keep him in lane,
Vlad is balanced around his sustain but is also a champ who can wipe out an enemy back line solo late game, if played properly
GP's heal isn't really the best but its still a sustain mechanic to allow him to survive lane phase, fiora's isn't really comparable to top tier sustain like
either, its 55 health per vital at level 6, procing her ult is much larger, but its also unreliable and requires a full all in,
Im not trying to argue that fiora is balanced but her sustain isn't the troublesome part, its her ability use her vitals to harass down opponents, so they can't take advantage of her relatively weak early game and the fact that she gets a massive dueling edge over every single auto reliant champ in the game because of the fact she has a random attack speed nerf, combined with the fact she only needs 2 items to be literally impossible to duel
Because her hypercarry is still best as a solo duelist and splitpusher? She still struggles immensely against teams because even with parry, there's more than one thing she needs to parry, she's squishy as fuck, Grievous murders her, and getting off a good heal is unreliable because Locket/Redemption/Exhaust means it's going to be extremely hard to pop 3-4 Vitals (which is the only heal worth getting).
Her lane sustain is reliant on her hitting her passive. And even then, it's not that much.
The sustain is not as much of an issue as how much of a bully she can be early on.
Pretty much. Fiora has the Yasuo issue, where the early game is hilariously strong for their insane late game.

Yes, but his level 2 is pretty busted.

IMO Aatrox's is about as good as Yasuo's.
Katarina and Talon's level 2 are stronger.
I don't have an issue with her lane sustain.
I think what she needs to have hit is a base damage or two, and then she needs to have ACTUAL MANA COSTS. I swear I have never seen a fiora run out of mana.
She is one of the better champs to ban in top lane. By far the most picked top laner right now.
Not sure sustain is the issue. She is just top lane meta right now and a strong champ.
She has a couple counters like pantheon, swain, and kayle. So I guess just learn them or ban her.
She's a melee top laner, and if you don't have sustain as a melee top laner, you're a shit champ. Pretty much the only melee top laner to ever break this rule is Jax simply because he has no much else going for him.
Sion, nautilus, kled (situational), j4 and malphite would be others. While some they have shields for trades isn't as prevalent as gaining health from aa or spells
Shields are a form of sustain, at least for the purposes of top lane. In this case, anything that reduces the effective damage you take, either by healing or shielding, counts as sustain. The only melee top laner I can think of that lacks both is Jax.

If counter strike doesn't count, neither does Pantheon's passive.
Also
Ah yes, I suppose both would qualify, although Panth is a bit iffy since his passive doesn't necessarily cost anything like Counterstrike does. 100% with you on Wukong though, and he tends to be the most meta dependent top laner for precisely that reason.
It's not about just sustain, it's also about the fact she actually has good trades early on. Compare her to Nasus which has absolute trash trading and has to use his trading tool to farm up early/mid if he wants to be relevant lategame, and we see an obvious pattern why she's so good in comparison.
Fiora's healing sustain sucks quite alot
her early game is supposed to be weak. you're supposed to keep one side of you away from her so she can't use her passive.
Now if that side is one of the 2/4 that face her, then you just don't trade or go near her.
well her earlygame IS weak, she has somewhat sustain but it is really really small, and her passive damage early on is really meh. Fiora earlygame just makes Little trades, pokes if a good weakspot passive shows up. She really does not do a lot earlygame. It really is like fencing with her, or well, against her. You just go in a bit, poke just a bit, then when you hit 6 you can go for some actual engages.
Her late game scaling certainly isn't bad by any means, but she's definitely no where near a hyper-carry.
old fiora was a hyper carry, new and current fiora is FAR from that.
It is pretty weak. It heals like 30 hp. She has tools so you can't face roll into her, but she is pretty weak early. She can split push well late, but there's a lot of champs that do it better and she only can split push because of hydra. Her team fighting ability is also super weak, like one of the weakest in the game.
So she's a good late game carry (not hyper carry) with tools to not get dominated in laning.
Compare that to tryndamere who is really strong level 1 and 2 and post 6 for all ins (and also is a fiora counter that beats her pretty much always). He is considered to suck early but is a God late game and can solo win by map pressure alone.
Her early game seems entirely skill dependent. I've seen Fiora players go 0/4 in the first 10 minutes (more often than not), but I've also seen her go toe-to-toe with champs like Renekton and Darius, when most melees just have to farm under tower against them.
: it is
Nerf her over all damage a bit, and make her ult deal two extra vital procs if she hits all four of them and killing a champion without hitting all four should refresh it's CD by a small amount if she gets at least one ult vital.
Her AoE heal is too much if she builds so much life steal.
Her Sustain and Health Regen don't bother me, it's just our hard she can abuse some match ups.
