I dont feel like playing anymore when I see Zed mid...
I don't know...am I the only one who feels like this?
I don't know...am I the only one who feels like this?
I'm really just bored of him
Mid is my second best role, but I've given it up temporarily because of the surge in Zed and Fizz picks. Neither of them are fun to lane against, and there's no such thing as bullying them out of lame, especially Zed. I've had way too many instances of where I'm stomping on Zed, zoning him away from the minions, but he's still able to farm effectively with his Q and W+E. His roam, split push, assassination, and poke are all too good. I don't find Zed to be that overpowered, maybe slightly overtuned especially with his latest buff, but he's oppressive and anti-fun. My biggest peeve is how he forces you to build Hourglass to survive against him, which Riot nerfed harshly with a heavy price increase. I'd say that's like, 75% of the reason why Zed is so powerful now: Hourglass just isn't easy to obtain, and you're suffering trying to obtain it.
Fizz, on the other hand, is an entirely different story. Trickster's ridiculously effective (near invulnerability, slows, aoe burst, gap closer/escape, short cooldown). You don't really have much time to take the opportunity and punish him for using Trickster, because it'll be back up soon. Power needs to be removed from Trickster in favor of his Q and W. That, and the 20% damage amplification on his R is simply overkill. Fizz can easily and quickly eliminate non-tanks without his ult. The only reason I could see it having 20% damage amp, is so that he can have a chance to assassinate tanky targets which is just silly.
Well the BotRK nerfs have compelled Zed to get lifesteal later, meaning it's easier to bully him out of lane. Unfortunately we may see him building Death's Dance early if Rito keeps buffing it. The damage amp was compensation that allowed them to justify nerfing Fizz's basic ability damage after already removing DFG, but Fizz players STILL bitched.
2% life steal and spell vamp in masteries. 20 health every 20 seconds. He didn't loose much sustain.

The damage amp was done so fizz relies on his ult since they removed anlarge.portion from his main abilities

 I bully zeds and fizz out of mid all the time...as Chogoth.
Yasuo, Zed, and now that people are starting to play Talon again, any of these guys makes me want to AFK at the fountain when I'm mid. Good thing AD DFG is coming so they'll be even stronger huehuehue!
Except Talon has to get ahead and build pretty much full damage to assassinate. He's also much less safe than zed and yasuo depending on how you use his ultimate. Of the three I'd say he's got the crappiest early game. A meh to amazing mid game(depending on if you're getting fed or not) But his late game is also probably the worst of the 3 while Zed and yas seem to be strong at all points in the game. I won't lie, I'm a talon main because I think he's fun to play. So I'm trying my best to not make this biased. I'd rather have a talon on the enemy team over yas and zed any day though..As for champs that make me want to afk? Leblanc is definitely one of the main ones. Once again, if my comment struck you as biased.. I'm sorry lol.
You can Zhonya/QSS/Mikael Zed ult. You can peel/CC Yasou.
You can't do crap against Talon and his 0.1s combo.
Except zhonyas/pink ward/cc of any kind..
You might already die before your CC projectile hits.
I can pull the entire combo in 0.3s and don't even play him that much.
I don't understand why anyone would want to pick Talon over any other AD assassin. What does he do better than anyone else?
Actually kill people? He's easily the most reliable of the AD assassins and I'm personally curious why you would ever pick any of the others over him in Solo Q.
I don't consider him reliable. He has practically no fallback patterns at all relative to other AD assassins if he can't fulfill his primary function.
He's the most reliable at actually killing his target. AD assassins that can't blow people up don't have great fallback patterns anyway so that's not really much of a mark against him. But compared to the likes of Zed and Rengar, Talons offers far less counterplay when he's actually killing people. And that is extremely powerful.
Talon has the fastest reliable burst pattern
Rengar's burst is about as fast but a lot lower ratios without critical strike, so rengar needs more gold than talon to get going Zed's burst is much slower and and alot more avoidable khazix is just.....
Talon also deals a lot more AoE damage than other assassins, and will generally nuke the entire backline in the process of killing one person

Because Talon actually has to commit to a fight, once he jumps in he has to fight until one of you die. Zed however, " Oh looks, I made a bronze mistake by jumping into a silly fight or chasing into enemy jungle LOLJKS BACK TO THE START FOR ME COMPLETELY UNSCATHED"
And then his team loses what's effectively a 4v5. Let me guess, you never play assassins? I won't even bother looking it up.
I feel it, sometimes I'm just not interested in playing super defensively for 15 minutes because the enemy has a massive advantage kit advantage in lane phase and will instantly kill me if I dare to try and trade back or take what appears to be an opportunity to go in. Same reason its a pain to play vs darius or ryze or teemo as a melee top laner - you already know going in that the proper way to lane the lane is to let yourself get pushed around for a long time and then hope that your chance eventually comes to gank them when they get too cocky or that the game drags on enough that they can't bully you anymore.
Sounds like riven XD
Sounds like riven XD
Riven has basically 0 favorable matchups. Off the top of my head, I can only think of champs like vlad and jayce who are defined by being super weak earl scaling much harder than riven into teamfights and splitpushing later.
You mean this champ that has no risk, can all in you whenever he wants AND has the ability to turtle forever cause of his range and lack of mana. Nobody likes playing against Zed, like how nobody likes playing against Yasuo or Fiora but Riot doesn't care they need their LCSbigderps.
Nice they nerfed the crit mastery, NO MORE YASUO YAYYYAYYY
wut the fk?
where all these zeds coming from?
These champs will always be picked because people find their kits fun. Lee, Zed, Riven, Vayne, Ezreal, Yasuo, Thresh. Doesn't matter how weak they are, the only way people will stop playing them is if they are litterally impossible to play.
Lol um... but they haven't been weak.. nor have they needed the crit mastery in the first place to be good.. lol Those champions that are "fun" For the most part have bs parts to their kits lol..
Zed and Riven both sat at a 42% winrate at the beggining of preseason, they were statisticaly the 4th and 5th weakest champs in the game. Zed felt terrible with that "bugfix", and riven was just terrible. But the funny part? Their play rates were still incredibly high, wanna know why? People find them fun. Lee and Yasuo aren't even strong right now, if anything they are both mediocre, but once again they will always have high pickrate because they are fun. Lee and Zed were both garbage in the cinderhulk meta and was still had high high pickrates. Don't tell me these champs have never been weak because most of them have had their moment of being straight garbage.
Win rates saying they're bad doesn't mean that they actually are bad. You just said yourself that they've always had high play rates.. that doesn't necessarily mean that they're fun either.. However their high play rates probably do contribute to the 42% win rates that said champions have had. Take a look at a champion's kit for yourself and decide whether or not they're trash or not. Don't just go by statistics. Name a time that lee sin was weak compared to his counterparts.
You are truly stupid to say winrates don't matter. Many pro players said zed was dead after the "bugfix". If you actually played the champ you could see just how terrible it felt to play him. When play rates stay the same and suddenly the winrate drops 7% you know something is wrong. In the cinderhulk meta Lee was very weak compared to sej and the other tanks that ran over your team. Even now he isn't anything compared to the likes of Mundo, Malphite, Rammus, Amumu, Volibear, Trundle, etc. Just because a champions has more things in its kit doesn't make it broken, if anything it creates more chances to outplay, and more chances for them to fuck up. I'd rather deal with a fed Zed or Yasuo than a fed Annie or Kayle because honestly they have much more counterplay. People like you are what is wrong with the boards. This whole "winrates doesn't matter" arguement is nothing but people bot understanding how important statistics are in a game like league.
"people like me"? I can't help but feel your trying to group together people in a very vague manner. By the way did I say win rates don't matter? I recall saying this however.. "Win rates saying they're bad doesn't mean that they actually are bad". Win rates are important, but they aren't everything. You actually would be being very ignorant yourself if you said that win rates are all that matters. It's just as bad as saying that win rate doesn't matter at all :P
If low elo and qqing about Zed, Lee, Yasuo etc is very vague then yes, yes I am. "Winrates saying they are bad doesn't mean they are actually bad". So the 42% winrate on Zed and Riven meant absolutely nothing? Wrong, they were terrible at that time. Not sure how saying what you said isn't basically saying winrates don't matter. Also I never said winrates are all that matter, I simply said they are very important in seeing a champions current strength.
Because it isn't bro, read what I typed.. and stop implying things/putting words there that aren't
Annie = Bait out stun Kayle = Bait out heal. CC or bait out ult.
Sounds like simple counterplay to me. And let´s not even get started on the fact that Kayle needs 3 full damn items to even be slightly meaningful to the match at all.
Zed is currently at a 51.7 for plat+ and has a 57+ winrate for those who have 125 + games as him...
This means he is a higher skill cap champion. However he is still 51+ with his high pickrate. He is a bit strong and prolly does need some kind of small nerf.
IMO!!
i dont think its fun when a certain enemy makes you play in a different way or else you'll be punished so hard for not doing it (avoiding walls vs vayne, dont play too aggressive vs lee sin, dont stay near minions against yasuo and so on)
... but what else can i do besides learn to play against them or stop playing this game
its bugs me when allies dont change their playstyles against some enemies and then their are punished for doing so and end up feeding the enemy
League is all about adapting if you can't change your play style or build path depending on your opponents you will never get better at this game.
It just gets really fucking boring when you have to lane against the same champion for the third time in a row.
Also applies to the likes of Thresh, Yasuo and Jinx
I don't. I just play Zilean and make him cry lol
Its not just Zed. the preseason is BROKEN bad. Too many champs are massively OP with the new items and masteries.
Riot has no problem with champs building nothing but Def items and doing the most damage and not dieing.
LOL may have jumped the shark
As if Zed isn't already stupidly oppressive in lane.. He definitely needs a new ad assassin item...
I don't mind zed at all except for one thing:
No matter how bad he's doing he has the safest and easiest time csing ever- at no penalty other than "can't go in".
The last patch broke the game, balance is gone. You either play a Burst Champ or a Tank with CC or you will suffer hard. There are 50 plus champions that are useless trash now. If your champions KIT doesn't contain heavy burst, a ton of CC, and/or a ton of HP's... GOOD NIGHT. In todays LOL I would change the Meta and toss out the ADC for a Talon or Zed. Stack 2 Assassins, A burst Mage, and 2 Tanks with CC. BUH BYE and GG.
Its like season 4 all over again. Except Zonias is way more expensive, AD items are cheaper, and fucking thunderlords.
You feed any of them ...that noob that everyone loves, and it's GG. The Snowball became an avalance with the last patch. One bad lane will lose a game 10 times faster than Pre-Patch. The game is currently broken at lower elo's. But Yah, nobody cares about Gold Silver and Bronze. @#@!% em.
I don't feel like playing when I see a Katarina on the enemy team, my god does it annoy the Sh*t out of me to play against her. Theres some champs people dont like to play against, Teemos annoying AF, so is Malzahar, Katarina, Leblanc, and a butt load of other champions.
I don't know, why you feel the need to make a post on the boards about you disliking a champion. Just to dislike

Katarina? The champion who looses mid to nearly every matchup in the game? I can think of worse matchups.
Idgaf, she's annoying as shit to play against, and that's me personally not you. I think is zed easy as hell to play against, with most mages. But that's me, complaining about not like the match up doesn't help.

Ever tried playing against Zed as TF. Try it.. You might change your opinion whether mages are easy as hell to play against him.
Well thats like a Malzahar Vs Yasuo match up. Your not suppose to win the lane considering its and extreme hard counter. And why would I pick TF into a Zed? Ahri or Lux would be fine
