That is not how you handle the early game powerhouses...

All these tower plating changes are going to do is reward the stronger laners. Those who "farm until a few items" will be met with just as if not more of a struggle as the strong laners are rewarded with another bonus gold source. And to justify the reasoning, you really said they could last hit safely longer??? You basically just admitted that going a farm-focused champions is more or less accepting you will 100% guaranteed be behind in gold and the game is so one sided that a change had to be made to help you to maybe go even in gold (except they then reward the stronger laner anyways with bonus gold which defeats the purpose).

WTF is that suppose to mean when just going to lane means just going slightly behind my own tower because if I take 3 steps out in front of it I get chunked, pulled, hard CC'd or bursted to death. You die once as a "farm-focused" champion vs a early game power house like Draven and its gg for the laning phase unless he really fucks up.

A better way would have been to make tower aggro range longer vs champions only, and make the first shot 100% true damage and the max warm-up shots 10% target max health damage OR apply grievous wounds vs champions. This is so that just last hitting is not always a trade from longer ranged marksmen who either have a speed boost or a shielding support to block or escape that single tower shot which may not even fire. Also, this prevents massive healing tanks from just soaking the shots like its nothing because they are so ahead of the game that tower damage is too far behind because it has yet to scale.

And to benefit the early game champions, you already made them have more gold to gain. Just make it so that the side who destroys the other's plates last gets at most, half as much gold.

I prefer playing late game champions but stronger laners NEED an incentive if they arnt gonna be able to kill towers / end the game sooner as easily.

An early tower is one of the best ways to influence everyone, its a permanent objective that you just scratched off your team`s to do list, now its gonna be way harder to do anything like that.

The idea is to solidify the length of the laning phase and force people to stay in their lanes for phase.

When somebody is going against a weak laner, they want to do one of two things: Win trades to open them up for an all-in so you can use your lead to snowball, or shove the wave in and look to make plays happen elsewhere on the map. A champion with a strong early game wants to use these methods to accelerate them into the midgame as fast as possible, taking that first towers and getting enough gold that they can afford to start grouping and taking objectives.

These changes stop that midgame acceleration. All-ins are much more dangerous with the extra damage that towers are dealing, and if you leave your lane opponent to roam, they can shove and get extra gold off of the plating. A strong laner can't just stomp over a weak laner and move on to better things; they need to stay in lane or their opponent will catch up with them.

By locking them into lane for a set amount of time, a weak laner has more time to interact with them. They have more time to play safe and poke them out or focus on farming. Even if they lose lane, the new bounty changes let them make a comeback more easily. If their fed opponent messes up even once, their lane opponent is back in the game with a huge chunk of gold plus a potential plate for getting that kill, not to mention the normal XP denial from shoving the wave in. Those sorts of situations wouldn't happen before these changes because once someone gets fed off of a weak laner, they're looking to fight, not farm. If they leave to do an objective or gank a different lane, you get more gold.

If they stay in lane and you feed and let them get every plate, then that's on you. You should have farmed up under tower to at least be on-par in terms of gold. If they're constantly shoving for that plate gold, punish them for it. Don't shove back. Just thin the casters and attack THEM to discourage an all-in while you let the tower do most of the work getting the minions low. Easy peasy. You can force an early back or open them up for an easy gank simply by attacking them while they push, which gives you time to shove, deny XP, and reset.

Adding on to what the other people said, the turret changes also give the outer turrets some extra resistances after a plating falls off so it is harder for the enemy team to completely take a tower after an all in or a gank at somewhere like bot. This might be even better for bot because if I remember correctly the resistances that the tower gains immediately also depends on how many enemy champs are near when the plating falls.
