Lich bane was more core to Viktor since he came out than Rylai's ever was. Ever since he had that onhit Q, lichbane was one of the first items that popped into everyone's head. Rylai's only became relevant on him when it was buffed to provide higher AP values, as Viktor relies on heavy AP. Lichbane has always been the duelist option for Viktor, since it's CD is almost meaningless when given 40% CDR. If you don't remember, look back to videos on new Viktor's release and his 1k+ damage Qs.

Rylai's is staple on him now moreso just because of the nature of his ult and E, however only for the slow. The delayed his kit, so he needed the slow. And he can still have it, but he can't get tank-like stats and one of the highest AP values in the game with it as well.

The same was said about syndra which got a few scaling buffs back in 6.13 and hasn't been touched since. Now she's been OP since October. Just pointing out like OP that reactions to changes in the first few days they are mentioned are pretty silly

No you are just stating revolutionist history. His deathray delay, missile speed, and AP ratio were all buffed after all of those threads. They were the reason he wasn't gutted.

I was moreso alluding to the fact that if someone is ignoring the fact that he was reworked around Rylai's + fail to mention that all of the threads after he was put onto the PBE are the reason he wasn't gutted they are more than likely an adc main.

His deathray delay was 1.25 sec when it came to pbe and it had a slower missile speed + AP ratio than what was released. All of those threads are the reason he wasn't trash when released.

You realize a lot of the people actually balancing the game are low elo though right? The guy that introduced courage of the colossus is a silver skarner/udyr player.

Haha I knew this thread would be something awesome based off the upvotes. I play Viktor a lot and although I do enjoy Rylais he will still be competitive after the nerf. Lich bane is awesome on him and Ludens works well too.
