I had a bad game. You had a good game. You are carrying. I accept that.

Why did I have a bad game? A number of reasons. It could be that I miscalculated on a play and simply lost (if it makes you feel better, I got “outplayed). It could be that I died to an early gank and now the wave has froze under the enemies tower and I have to over-extend or risk falling so far behind that it would actually be worse than me dying a few more times (if it makes you feel better, I’m “feeding.”) It could be that my laner got FB in an invade (it happens) and I’m behind from the moment the lane starts and the guy is a jayce, renekton, or Kled. That means that towers really don’t matter and they can dive me repeatedly with there being little available for me to do about it but simply hope I can outplay it (if it makes you feel better, I’m “inting).

Point is, there’s millions of reasons why i could be doing poorly and there’d are possibly millions of solutions to it. Debating it is pointless because unless I’m actually intentionally feeding, it is what it is. Everyone has bad games. Everyone has good games.

For those having good games while others on your team are having a bad game:

Their bad game does not excuse bad plays that you make on your own. If you get caught, that is your fault. If you engage by yourself without anyone following up because they’re not close to you, that is your fault. I’m also not going to make bad plays and die just because you think it’ll be worth some trade - I’m fine with it if we are getting a fight on our terms so you can be successful. In fact, I have no problem at all with dying to enable you when you’re strong. I’ll do everything I can to empower you. But that doesn’t mean I’ll accept bad conditions that may hopefully result on you carrying a fight - if there are better options, I will elect to avoid stupid plays that result in your death. I want to enable you, but not at the expense of my life for your ego. I’ll even be willing to listen to your calls, but once again, not if it’s a stupid play.

Regardless, players do this all the time and it’s ridiculous. You know what you are doing when you blame your teammates bad game for your stupid plays? You’re self-handicapping. It’s ok that you make a bad play, because I had a bad game so ultimately it won’t be your fault because I fed and you didn’t. Except that logic doesn’t hold water. If you’re out only hope of winning and you die needlessly in a bad play, you’re just as responsible for our loss as I am because you mismanaged your power and responsibility. Sure, we could argue all day about who is more at fault, but does it really matter? No, because you still made a stupid play that lost the game when there was still an opportunity to win. And that is what players in this situation do all the time. They self-handicap because if they can’t carry, they can fall back on it being everyone else’s fault. And that’s a shitty attitude to have, and you lose more games than you’d like to think you do on account of that.

You know what tilts me? When I gank your lane, we get a double kill bot and instead of taking tower plates/infernal drake you fall back to base or go back to last hitting minions instead of shoving the wave.

We get a kill Mid or Top. Witness enemy jungler on Bot side, you refuse to help me with Herald or take plates. Recall back or stand in lane last hitting minions like a robot.

I gank for you, we get the kill, you're shredded. You stay in lane and feed the enemy I just put you ahead of. Then you come back to lane and do it again. Glad I could be of service.

Enemy lane is shoved deep into your turret. I ping that I'm on my way and to assist me multiple times. I engage the fight. You stand and watch while I get burned down to the point of burning flash to get out or flat out dying. You then proceed in, sometimes getting the kills, sometimes feeding two more. Most of the time the follow up is just slow enough that I don't even pick up an assist off it. But at least that's better than the free double kill for you that you turned into a triple kill for them.

I'm getting picked on in Jungle early game. All other enemies are visible in their lanes. I ping assist multiple times but you can't bother to fall back and help me out in my time of need. The 6 CS you're going to miss is more important. I concede my own jungle, maybe int and get ganked cause I'm annoyed at the lack of assistance.

You go 1/16 on your champ. 0/4 within the first 7 minutes. Then you whine that your JG is useless and if I'd showed up to gank the lane you hard fed you'd be winning.

All of this is my fault. Sorry I made you have a bad game.

Learn some things about wave management before commenting. What's the use taking a plate or two, if i run out of mana and/or life, can't contest the enemy anymore, get killed/have to go back, and this gives the opponent the chance to take 3 plates or more until I get back, because he bought items after reviving, and maybe had Demolish. It's important to go back to base at a time when the enemy isn't going to push my tower. If he dies and I recall, when we both come back I will have an advantage because I got a kill/assist.

If you can't get one plate after taking a double you're doing it wrong, unless enemy JG is showing face or you have 10hp.

If you aren't denying their wave on their turret you're still doing it wrong after taking kills.

You don't want to push the wave at all. If your wave crashes into their tower, then THEIR wave will crash into yours, and you will loose those minions. Worse, if you stuck to take a plate, your opponent will come back before you do, and push several waves into your tower. It's a balancing act, deciding whether it's worth to push the wave then. So don't pressure the laner to do what you want. They know their lane better than you do.

You're taking the wave at their tower and denying them from getting XP or gold. Their wave will not crash your tower if you shove.

Unless you take an absolute eternity to get back to lane. Or they are running TP either way you already made the gold back off the plate/plates.

By third hard shove after kills there tower is gone and you rotate.

Saying you don't shove the wave at all is completely wrong.

I am a Nasus vs a Darius, I am stacking q as well as armor but oh look, when the enemy wave of 10+ minions reaches my tower, the jungler arrives and spams pings me to engage! I ping him back but oh look, he engages solo, he dies and then says "report nasus" "i won't help that trash toplaner again". Gold elo btw.

Look, most people don't get tilted when two tops brawl and one wins by 10% remaining HP. What tilts people is when said top tower dives enemy tower and dies for the fifth time. All while stacking as much damage as possible and refusing to build even a single damn cloth armor against the enemy Riven who is 3/0 with an 80%+ cs rate by level 6.

Or when you get the unranked zero communication Sona auto fill who rushes Lichbane Sorc Shoes and spends all game trying to 1v1 split push duel the enemy Akali instead of grouping on Baron with their much needed wards.

True or not, it doesn’t make what I’ve said any less true

too bad there are many people in my games who have "bad games" all the time and refuse to learn

Oh i feel you with the kled thing. He has dove me at lv 1, up until i was lv 4 when he was like 8 Such a toxic champion to play against. i feel like dismount should still give him aggro. Nothing's fun about him charging at you, one shotting you and then staying under turret to dismount and not receive aggro after

You remind me of something my uncle Ben said.

Maybe the person who is hard-carrying eventually gets frustrated and makes a mistake because they are human? Maybe the player hard carrying you just 1vs3ed and his team lost a 4vs2? Maybe your team spam pings question marks on him? A lot of reasons a super fed player may not be able to carry.

I remember my elo hell in plat 1 playing with/vs diamond v people, i would get fed mid and roam and they fkin would spam me danger pings everywhere and i was like:

"wtf? Is the jungler there? I don't care i just murder him and the midlalaner alone if that is the case so i just type (i am big trust me)", yet the warning stopper me.

They still spammed pings at me everywhere every game, i think i was going crazy, they are the only reasons i could not carry more games (probably they thought they knew more than me checking my op.gg every game ). I still remember their quotes " oh the harstuck plat player acting big", i had 68 %win ratio but.. Whatever.

"Hardstuck" Btw.

So yeah i agree, sometimes the fed player won't be able to carry for a reason or another so don't give him 12 kills, just stop at 3 - 4 and maybe it might be manageable.
