"Clunky" or not, he shouldn't be able to 100-0 his lane opponent with ease the instant he hits level 4 while being impossible to trade back against due to his free Death's Dance passive. I've seen Aatrox first blood every match he's been in since the hotfix buff and hardcarry the majority of them. Revert some of the buffs, Riot. Oneshotting, immortality, and high cc shouldn't be a package deal.

Aatrox is definitely a super dominant lane presence but chances are people just suck at facing him in your games. In my experience he also falls off extremely quickly in late game because his "I will regen my health pool so I don't need to build tanky" thing doesn't work since everyone is a burst champion now.
Plus late game everyone has 400+ movement speed and will easily dodge your abilities.
Have you seen him in a lane with anyone that jumps to him? Its literally awful, I just made one look soooooo terrible with Camille. Q speeding up to dodge all abilities. Looked like a small child flailing his arms around like Boo from DBZ LOL. Thats the only thing that could really come to mind, unlimited power but literally no way to use it unless your lane opponent is bronze.
"Massively overbuffed". The moment this man goes against anything with mobility he just looks absolutely retarded and useless, which is correct. He has 0 gap close without his ult. He has a unreliable q for damage. His W would be okay if his q wasn't a unreliable inconsistent spell. His E is an excuse to make up for him not being able to move while q'ing, which honestly doesn't make sense. Pretty much scrap the ability(passive stays)for like a cleave aoe damage spell or something.
