Is there a time frame or cooldown for Conqueror? A tale of Conqsuo

Access to true damage has become overly abundant in this game and adding CONQUEROR has only amplified the issue

200 true damage from JUST sweeping blade, that's half a ruby crystal worth of damage FOR FREE. Yasuo loses NOTHING from this and seemingly only gains late game potency with how ridiculous it scales. Where is the counter play? Do I just dodge all his damage? Do I avoid his R? Do I run away (only to be caught up to)?

OR do we continue to allow this nonsense and continue to poke at Ryze claiming he's just TOO strong in pro play. I am tired of this champion and I am specifically tired of him abusing Conqueror.

Here is an analysis of that video and how unnecessary his damage is with Conqueror. https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/8hujam/conqueror_yasuo_post_game_analysis_and_request/

His counter play is when his shield is down, but you cannot even hinder the shield from coming up so why is that? He is GUARANTEED a shield by not even doing anything besides moving. I cannot delay the shield, he gets it no matter what. Okay, so let's just avoid combat and farm up, only to have him also farm up and scale incredibly. Conqueror enables him to do more damage late game since 1/5 of the damage is turned into true damage. ONE FIFTH? ARE YOU SERIOUS? 1/5 of damage I have NO WAY of mitigating besides health. Even then stacking health won't do anything.

Take a look at this:

Game times differed in 2-3 minutes, the Yasuo was kind of fed (HINT HE DIDN'T EVEN DO THE MOST DAMAGE IN THE GAME) vs Velkoz that DID the most damage in the game and inherently has true damage in his kit that applies AoE. Most of Yasuo's damage applied to one source (MOST of the time) whereas Vel'koz combo'd constantly.

Lastly, the last ACTUAL (I'm not talking about a .012 nerf in HP regen) change was in 7.2 where they nerfed his E by 10-50 base damage BUT added 20% bonus AD ratio, so technically it's not a nerf. The last ACTUAL nerf was 5.8 (shield nerf) or 4.18 base HP and MS nerfed. Why does Yasuo have to consistently be good, with access to multiple runes, have a safe laning phase and a brilliant late game while being put at the very OUTSIDE of my tower when he ults me? Let's just nerf Ryze though.

Because Yasuo is that star champion that everyone thinks of when they go to play league, he involves having so much laning interaction and makes every game he is in all about him.

All seriousness though, some champions like conqueror more than even yasuo or master yi do..it allows certain tanks to be able to go item 3193 and still do plenty of base damage...esp if they scale with max hp.

I still think its unhealthy for yasuo to have good access to that considering his R...it feels like if you ever wanna play against yasuo you have to build damge reduction rather than armor because he gets to penetrate so much of it (think item 3143 and item 3047 ) But now yasuo has a tool to penetrate that too

Maybe you should check the PBE and see that because of the nerfs to zeal and ie, yasuo is gonna get hard nerfed and isn't gonna be any decent before you call for nerfs when there are already changes that will affect him?

I am talking about Conqueror, not crit items. They're nerfing crit items because of ADCs, not because of Yasuo. We've seen so many iterations of Yasuo builds (Triforce, Phantom Mallet) and he's been completely fine in the absence of his standard crit path. Conqueror enables him to choose between alternate builds more so because of its extra damage. He's a fighter that doesn't need to build too defensive because of how reliable his passive is and how mobile he can be. He could build pseudo tank and he'd still pump out that true damage. It is the RUNE that is the problem, crit items are a different problem.

so...? The point is yasuo doesn't need any nerfs, because he is getting shafted because of item changes. Even if conqueror yasuo is overpowered right now (Which is debatable) it doesn't matter because he's getting nerfed. Because of how IE will work next patch, conqueror won't be that good on yas since it's only 20% of 80% of the true damage since how IE naturally deals it to champs now. It's not a concern, nothing to change.

First of all, all AD items and Crit items have been reverted and postponed until 8.11. Second, the way that Conqueror works is that it scales off of bonus AD, which the next patch IE is buffed in the sense that it provides 80AD instead of 70. Next, IE converts 20% of critical strike damage into true damage so not only is Yasuo doing 1/5 true damage via Conqueror, he is ALSO doing 1/5 true damage via IE and 4/5*1/5 true damage via Conqueror again. But I don't think you'll care or understand since you abuse the rune too on Master Yi.

Because he is rarely actually overpowered, regardless of how hard he stomps the silver games you're in my friend.

I'd advise you to play a real champion as well, not wet stinky garbage like Ryze.

For how mechanically intensive he is, he shouldn't be anywhere near 50% win rate especially with how popular he is and how often he is banned. If he's at a 60% ban ratio with a 49.5% win rate then there is an evident problem. It shows he is likely to win a matchup, given his popularity and ban percentage, 49.5% of the time. Uninteractive gameplay and unnecessary shields

Yasuo has one of, if not the most experienced playerbases among any champion, which is why his win rate is nearly 50% most of the time. Oh, and his gameplay is the very opposite of interactive. On the contrary, he is one of the few melee champions who forces mages to actually have to interact with him in lane. The shield can be interacted with to pop, wind wall can be baited, he has to aggressively go in to trade with you, etc.

Tell me; does it hurt you emotionally to know deep down in your heart that Riot agrees with me, and that all the hot air you blow about him is but noise in the wind?

It's not his player base that is playing him, it is random people as well. When champions become flavor of the month or just popular in general, MORE people start playing them and thus more, inexperienced people drops the win rate. Not every Yasuo I encounter is the "experienced playerbase". Want to know why people play him? Reliable damage, easy laning phase due to passive and brain dead R and E. Also the fact that Riot doesn't ever change him as stated in my original post. Look at the last time he's actually been changed/nerfed. Now take a look at Ryze who lost half his playerbase after his 3rd rework. Yasuo isn't that complicated, is mechanically intensive, but it's not hard to land 3Q into R and kill someone with Conqueror. Anyway, this post is about CONQUEROR, and Yasuo utilizing Conqueror too well, NOT about Yasuo himself. That is a different conversation entirely.
