why the fuck would i ever pick renekton when i can pick Sion autowin lane, be safe from ganks due to tankiness+hard cc+ ult , be able to zone people in teamfight and tank a billion of damage while bringing an unstoppable engage?

no wonder i got demoted into d2 by playing the noobtrap conqueror renekton that riot created, which literally got CRUSHED by ornn in the LCK

but it's k, because i just realised that i have to play Sion Ornn Swain Rumble or GP/camille to climb back to challenger because this is riot's answer to toplane

"we fixed it for low elo with that noobtrap keystone that takes 4 seconds to charge, we did a good job guys"

Maple nectar, you're the one that I blame the most right now because you literally said that you won't force a splitpushing playstyle, and riot literally did the opposite with this **ing keystone

Yeah some champs are more busted than other, if you care about winning then you gotta pick some of these. If you care about ranked but also having fun or playing a champ you love, then you're pretty much at a disadvantage. That's how it works now. It was the same thing in past seasons but now it's really worse.

There are 2 issues when looking at Renekton with Conq facing tanks like Ornn

  1. Compatibility of Conq + Rene is weaker than the compatibility of other champs with other runes.

Conq isn't really a keystone Renekton wants. It's just the best thing he gets when facing tanks. Afterschock/Grasp is EXACTLY what Ornn wants.

Renekton likes to do short trades in the laning phase and Conq excels at longer fights. So from the core concept seen, they aren't really compatible to start with.

This was also an issue with FoB but the difference being, FoB also helped in shorter trades, if Conq doesn't proc then it's like having no keystone at all.

Another thing is that the old rune system didn't hold the same power level as the new one (power creep). Which leads to the problem that certain champions become absurdly strong because they can abuse a keystone better than others can (since they can use the power creep better than others).

Plus Riot thought giving everyone Armor seals as base stats was a good idea ;) Wanna know what type of damage tanks like to deal? (Referring to the statement of "only power creeping main stats of champs leads to problems" I told you at the rune discussion)

  1. 4 second to proc Conq is too long for teamfighting but it's a pretty damn good splitpushing keystone.

Assuming you can't reliably hit minions to have Conq ready, the 4 seconds is too much charge up time in a teamfight since you will be half life by the time it procs (problem of damage creep) so you already have to plan an escape and can't really fight with the active keystone anymore.

On the other hand, tanks have it a lot harder to stop a Conq user from splitpushing.

And lastly, Renekton hasn't recieved the power to bring the champ to todays sandard, he propably needs some sort of % max HP damage or true damage or even more bullshit, % max HP true damage!

Wohooo power creep bois, I don't see a problem at all!!!!!
