"You will remember Yorick Mori."

Sadly, we won't with his current kit. I've got some ideas for a new one. I dunno about you guys, but I'd like to see him as a kind of AOE stat stealing champion that gains more temporary stat increases based on how many champions he hits.

Current passive- Yorick takes 5% less damage and deals 5% more with his basic attacks for each of his active summons.

Then it goes on to explain how ghouls work. Of all of Yorick's abilities, this is the one I'd keep relatively the same.

Current Q- Yorick's next basic attack deals bonus physical damage and summons a Spectral Ghoul, which has increased attack damage and movement speed compared to other ghouls and buffs Yorick's movement speed.

Reworked Q- Yorick summons a Spectral Ghoul that does initial AOE damage and steals AD and AP from all champions hit. Half of the combined stolen stats are granted to Yorick. The ghoul deals increased damage to those affected by the stat reductions of this ability.

Current W- Yorick summons a Decaying Ghoul in an AOE explosion that deals damage and slows all in the area. The Decaying Ghoul provides a slowing aura to all that are near it.

Reworked W- Yorick summons a Decaying Ghoul in an AOE explosion that steals the enemy movement speed and grants half of it to Yorick. The Decaying Ghoul increases the duration by 1 second and the slow percentage by 10% with each of its autoattacks.

Current E- Yorick summons a Ravenous Ghoul on target enemy, dealing damage and healing Yorick based on the damage dealt. The Ravenous Ghoul heals Yorick with each attack.

Reworked E- Yorick summons a Ravenous Ghoul that does initial AOE damage and lowers the armor and magic resist of those hit by the initial damage. Yorick gains a third of the resistances stolen and a flat amount of health based on how many units were hit by the initial damage (health healed reduced by 50% for minions). The Ravenous ghoul heals Yorick with each of its autoattacks.

Current R- Yorick summons a Revenant of target allied champion that has stats based on the target. If the target would die within 10 seconds, they are revived for the remaining duration.

Reworked R- Yorick summons a Revenant of target allied champion that has stats based on the target. The target gains whatever temporary stats Yorick currently has from his abilities. If the target would die within 10 seconds, they are revived for the remaining duration and gain whatever temporary stats Yorick currently has from his abilities.

No feedback at all? :(

I have some feedback.

  1. What is Yorick's theme? What is his game-play niche? Is it stat stealing? I don't know. I look at him and think "Gravedigger". Also "Hunchback of Notre Dame"... This kit doesn't really bring this out. Also, we already have Trundle as the stat stealing guy. We don't want to crowd his space.

  2. What are Yorick's problems? One of the reasons Yorick feels bad to play is because his laning phase is awful for his opponents. He isn't allowed to be strong enough to feel special because it would be unfair. This is not fixed by these suggestions. Another problem is that Yorick suddenly gets stronger mid fight for no reason. With Trundle you know why you are having difficulties. There is a great big tether between you. You can see that he is sucking you away. Yorick just gets bonus damage reduction. This is inherently unreadable and probably should not stay.

  3. All his basic abilities are the same... They just have different effects. I think this kit would get boring to play quite quickly.

So, if you want a comprehensive rework you need to answer the first two questions. What is Yoricks theme (i.e. Why pick Yorick) and how can I solve his current problems?

His theme would be ghoul summoner. When I think of ghouls I think of these invisible things that kind of feed off the happiness of mortals. This kit would reflect that, except not invisible, ya know? As for it being boring, some people enjoy playing summon characters. That's why they exist. And also wouldn't be stealing Trundle's role. With this kit I'd make him an AP tank champ honestly, most of his damage coming from his summon explosions, and enhanced autoattacks while the ghouls are out. Yea, they'd both steal some stats, but Yorick would be focused on summoning and stealing stats. Trundle only has two abilities that steal stats. You'd play them completely differently. Compare it to Lux and Morg, relatively the same on paper, vastly different in game.
