Having counterplay does not automatically means being balanced

Most of the time, players facing each other will be of roughly equal skill level. If a skillshot-reliant champion(or having other form of obvious counterplay) is dominating in the game, it's not because > soloq is full of scrubs that can't f** dodge

It is most likely because said skillshots are too rewarding when they connect. Yes, skillshots can be and are allowed to have more range, damage, power in general than targetable abilities. No, being a skillshot does not automatically justify everything.

I'm not referring to any champion in specific, I just though it needs to be said because even if there was a skillshot that executes champions below 75% health, I bet that common response from this champion X mains on boards would be 'learn to dodge and stop complaining' and 'just dont stay in lane below 75%, geez'

Counterplay is a vague subject. Yasuo has theoretical counterplay in lane - Bait out the windwall, stay away from minions, auto him to drop the shield.

Is that actually PRACTICAL counterplay? Am I able to do these things without the Yasuo zoning me out or crapping on me in lane? Not really.

His E counterplay is probably the most frustrating imo.

But counterplay is better than nothing.

In a game that cant fully be balanced having counterplay means everything can be dealt with.

Agreed.

To be frank, skill shots are a bad example for this particular argument. There are skill shots that you need to hit Ezreal and there are skill shots that the enemy needs to dodge Morgana.

Ah yes, this reminds me of the times when Nidalee was the big topic for toxic threads. Not saying yours is toxic, but the nostalgia is hitting hard.

Not so gooooooood times.
