Almost 2 Years - No Lulu Nerfs or Rework

I seriously do not get Riot, every LCS game somebody picks and she is either played mid or top. She is pretty much the ONLY support in LCS that we see doing this on a regular basis and she somehow gets away with it... For almost 2 Years now?

Why exactly? Why has every other support in other lanes been nerfed EXCEPT Lulu and she gets away with it while champions like got gutted and redesigned so now they cannot operate without a duo lane. But Lulu is exempt from this treatment? Why?

She is mostly the reason I have stopped watching much LCS. She makes games incredibly boring and predictable because she is picked pretty much EVERY game and it is really annoying to see Riot reworking support champs so they cannot lane on their own on one hand, but not change Lulu in any particular way and let her go to any lane she wants.

It just seems quite hypocritical....

True.Azir was nerfed.But no Lulu nerfs.Shortly double standard.

Lulu was nerfed in late Season 4, repeatedly. It made no difference to mid/top Lulu because she can acquire a lot of AP quickly. Instead it made her a very sub-par pure support, basically pushing her out of bot lane.

4.5: E - Help, Pix! ENEMY FOLLOW DURATION: 6 seconds ⇒ 4 seconds "REMOVED" MINION CAST: Minions gain a shield BASE DAMAGE: 80/130/180/230/280 ⇒ 80/110/140/170/200

And once in Season 5:

She just needs a rework, really. Her 1v1 laning is too strong with the unmissable EQ combo, strong waveclear and utility scaling.

Cos she's legit balanced and bearable to fight. Honestly the only real thing she has going for her that would warrant a nerf is popularity in LCS, but Riot would never Azir nerf Azir a Azir champion Azir because Azir of Azir that Azir . RIIIIIIIGHT :D

Naw but seriously, Raka vs Lulu? Raka gives me cancer every time I vs her without fail, I always think "it'll be different this game", it never is. Lulu on the other hand is like: "nyeh.... well thats annoying", but im usually not concerned because barring some biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig feeding, she aint gonna solo carry shit.

I feel like it would be nice if Lulu had a new passive to lower her oppressive laning phase as a Mid or Top without destroying it. Right now her passive gives her so much free damage and allows her to farm really well. I think the base is +105 damage per auto at level 18.

People like Soraka and Janna had their solo lane roles gutted because they were designed to be passive champions in the laning phase who could feasibly negate the aggression of two people at once. In solo lanes this was complete overkill and made it so that they ignored their enemy laner for the entire thing if they felt like doing that. People found it extremely boring to play against them.

Lulu has a pretty interactive laning phase because of her aggressive EQ combo and auto attack poke, so she doesn't suffer from the same problems Janna and Soraka did. I'm surprised Riot haven't nerfed her more recently because she has been dominant for so long but it's not hypocritical - Riot have said time and time again that it's not a problem for supports to go to solo lanes as long as their play patterns in solo lanes aren't unhealthy. Unfortunately Lulu is about the only traditional support who has the qualities necessary for a solo lane without being hyper-passive. Someone like Nami would be quite interactive but she wouldn't function as a mid laner because she has no easy waveclear.

tl;dr solo Lulu is fine because solo supports in general are fine. Janna/Soraka didn't work out because their kits in particular just weren't healthy for solo lanes.

First of all, she did receive nerfs - and those have pushed her out of support role. So, to correct you: she's not the only support we see doing this as she's barely a support after repeated nerfs. She's a solo-lane utility mage now. Yes, those exist. A solo laner can be picked for a role other than dealing damage - but rather provide utility and protection. And we need more of those if anything, considering the prevalence of bursty and insanely mobile champions.

Second, as long as she has her W and ult she'll always be a good pick, unless severely underpowered. With meta constantly favouring engages/assassinations those tools are invaluable. The same reason why Lissandra keeps popping out rather often, and why Janna remains one of top supports even after nerfs. So, when the likes of Lee, Yasuo, Fiora, Zed and Riven get shafted THEN you can nerf Lulu. I enjoy the existence of few champions who can shut down hyper-mobile, overloaded to hell and back LC$BIGPLAYS champions who Riot blatantly favoritises when it comes to balance.

If games are being boring and predictable because of Lulu's high pick rate, then are you dealing with existence of Lee in this game? Being intentionally kept on top for years straight, and as soon as meta stops favouring him for a patch or two, he gets buffs on PBE, and while they wait to be pushed on live we get a Throwback Thursday of Lee's LC$BIGPLAYS because we weren't already tired of seeing the same shit for a thousand times in a row.

Out of curiosity.. Which other champ has expensive Q till late game? Lulu's EQ combo is one use only. AA is the only way to poke and farm.

Of all the boring champs in lcs like reksai, Elise, fiora, Lucian, Ali, fiora, and corki, lulu is the one I don't mind. I don't find her boring at all
