Atma's Impaler
So... can we have it back, since there are now far far worse items pushing the new Tank Meta? I liked having AC and AD. We now only lack an item that adds to those two.

Titanic Hydra and Atma's can't exist together.
Dont see why not. Titan doesnt add to AD, it deals direct damage based off HP. Atma's adds to AD itself, and gives armor and crit.
Both items synergize well with each other since they fill the same niche of building beefy to get more damage. In some of the recent patches, Riot's been looking at ways to reduce the effectiveness of tanky, high damage divers. In the upcoming tank update, Riot is looking toward reducing the amount of reliable damage and instead amplifying defensive and crowd control capabilities. Tanks are going to get beefier and provide more CC at the cost of some damage. These two items together would allow tanky champions access to damage without building damage by triple dipping into their tank stats.
honestly it wouldn't be so much of a problem if champs like these pricks
don't get to be as tanky as real tanks by grabbing 2 tank items, but they are so efficient that grabbing hybrid items doesn't have a trade off. Shifting tankyness to base stats could make it so that it would be healthy
To be fair Jarvan was always a tank.
jarvan was a bit of a stretch but hecarim is for sure an abuser of how cheap and efficient tank items are
Tank items aren't efficient, at least they weren't. They took away true damage from all but two champions because it was forcing the HP heavy tank meta. They then release both champions, and items, that produce not only true damage, but scaling true damage.
It's almost like they forget what causes major issues, and repeat the cycle.
tank items aren't slot efficient but since they provide both health and resists in a large enough amount that you need pen to get through they are very efficient to have in the mid game. Because of this someone like hecarim can buy a triforce and then instantly go for cheaper tank items, and become both hard to kill and a major tank threat. As for true damage i do think it should be more limited, for example why the fuck does twitch have it on his passive same with redemption, but it really hasn't gotten to a point where tanks are being made irrelevant by it especially since they can buy both hp and resists at the same time
It does not make them irrelevant, but it forces softer targets to purchase tanky items... as opposed to a ROA or Rylai's as some survivability, Abyssal to counter the other caster, etc... Spellvamp is now just on the hybrid weapon, and the true damage becomes oppressive. This forcez the squishiest of squishies to enter into the bruiser realm. Bruisers are now tanks.
HP is the only solution to True Damage, and if you're purchasing quite a lot you now also are buying items that add either armor or MR. Instead of a counter item, they are closer to being requirements. To test this I've been spam running ARAM games with counter intuitive builds... tanking as expected squishies, One Hit ADCs (Firecannon, Shiv, Duskblade, T-Force), and for those with natural tanking skills and growth filling in a few slots with damage.
This is working frighteningly well, as even during losses the sheer ability to murder anyone who has not gone tanky is staggering.
just make them mutually exclusive; buying one prohibits the other
The return of Metagolem. Now complete with Titanic and Steraks.
I want it back, but its too broken to work in this game
AD, Armor, Crit... that was it... not like full blown hp splash damage, and more hp, etc like Titan
It would be stupid strong on Sion, especially his ult. Would be pretty funny honestly.
