Thank God RIOT tries to release 'Fun' modes. They tend to have a few champs that are unbalanced in them, merely due to mechanical restrictions of the mode. So, Obviously, EVERYONE SHOULD ONLY PLAY THOSE CHAMPIONS! That way no one can have fun! Fuck that, this game is never meant for fun.

It's a tryhard's paradise, guys! If all you play is what you know to be broken, and 10 bans only bans HALF of those champions, you can always play something broken! That way anyone who is trying to play for fun can be raged at, as it becomes a murder fest of broken bullshit for 20 minutes!

Of course, no one will play anything NOT on that list, so the matches are invariably the same champions time and again, but hey. That's FUN right? It's how players can decimate people even way higher rank than them. If all they do is play garbage, and don't go in for fun but for the idea that this somehow makes them a better LoL player, EVERYONE can have fun, right? … RIGHT?!

The mode sure didn't -start- this way. It was being played for fun. However, we can't have that, can we?

every "fun" mode gets like this, i had to stop playing actual urf because of how completely fucking unfun it was to vs a shitty push comp or the same broken champions every game while im just trying to play stupid fun shit like ap j4

There are no "fun" modes. There are modes with gimmicks, and they may even be fun gimmicks, but at the end of the day every mode has a clear purpose; to stomp your enemies in some fashion.

That said, Nexus Blitz is way too volatile to ever be fun anyway. The snowballing is out of control, every event after the first one is incredibly one-sided, then it's all compounded with that dumb fire buff (who thought that was a good idea?). I'd have more fun just having the map with none of the tacked on "fun" stuff they added to it.

I blame the mission pass. Nexus Blitz games are the fastest way to farm tokens. Before the pass became a thing games there were fun.

What would you consider the 20 then? I have seen quite a diverse list of champs in my games. Yes, the core group of champions usually has comprises somewhere between 30-70%, but that is going to be the case in ALL game types. Look at URF (before it got the "AR"), there were no bans, there were about 10 champions that were exceptional compared to others.

I think you are mistaking "playing for fun" with "not trying to win the game". There is nothing wrong with playing something off beat, out of the ordinary, but when you do that solely for the fact "hey, this is different", that is not fun for the rest of your team. If you are good at an atypical NB champion, go ahead and play it! If you are trying to play something that you have zero experience in, you just handicap your team. I don't know about you, but getting destroyed because that one teammate decided to try that champ for the first time is not fun at all.

I play a lot of attack speed thresh on this mode just because his hook and lantern are still useful.

I'm a Nidalee DH main and getting fed in Nexus Blitz is sooo much more OP than in normal games.

All game modes are full of tryhards. Not just Nexus Blitz.

Nexus Blitz has been made for tryharders, not to have fun.

Look at the special events: URF duels, battleroyale type 1, battleroyale type 2, battleroyale type 3. The scuttle race too, it's basically a "now you all fight, close to each other". Look at the fact they haven't permabanned any champ, as once for URF. Look at the (basically) no-trinket, no-vision thing.

On the other hand, look at the stomps happening basically every game. That's not casual, one team is trolling and so on. Win 40-20, lose 40-20, win 40-20 ... That's probably the worst aspect. Rigged matchmaking with broken stuff and absurd high(er) damage.
