The sad fact is, we didn't have to wait to see her in action on PBE to know she was going to be busted. Riot has been dropping the ball on proper damage balancing when it comes to releasing certain champions, to most recent I personally had issues with were
and
.
When I first saw Kai'Sa's kit in the reveal, I knew right away we were going to be dealing with another damage balancing nightmare. Her kit is designed to do lots of damage in a short amount of time while lowering the risk of going all-in by providing a shield and some mobility. Sound familiar?
Whether you agree or disagree, or just want to join the circlejerk of people bashing those who "whine" about damage, what I am actually noticing is that there are a considerable amount of players here that lack faith in Riot's balancing team to do a good job.
inb4 "they'll balance her numbers before she hits live"
"videos"
I'm sorry, those are not evidence for that.
- The PBE is for bug testing, not for players balancing.
- That's a good thing because PBE is notoriously bad for having "low quality games" or bad matches like...
- Those are videos where people are trying to make videos to publicize a change and make money, so, as within your examples, you get Challenger players trying to make a video being matched against a Bronze 2 opponent. They are probably going to do well.
So...
- they are not a reliable measure of anything. They are trying to make attractive videos that make it look exciting, which means in LoL youtube "high damage, high K/D". This further means they are not representative if only because they are going to be deliberately selected to only show a certain kind of result.
As an example,
- You saw the exact same thing with new Swain videos when he was on PBE and he is terrible.
- You're not understanding that this videos are created to only showcase a certain kind of non-responsive result. Worse yet, you don't seem to understand that the outcome of single games does not reflect on the overall state of the circumstances related to it.
Your first video is a Vandiril video! A creator everyone knows for making videos that showcase odd, interesting, exceptional occurrences and interactions that do not occur in League of Legends gameplay.
His videos are not representative of how things are because the enemy team does not coordinate to enhance an opposing player.
