Simple ideas to prevent this game from being so steamrolly that the game is decided in 5 minutes.

  • Kills and assists give less gold (including first blood/turret)
  • Beef up all objectives so that they actually require teamwork again (towers, drakes, herald, baron)
  • Consider adjustments to stats/prices of low cost items
  • Create better item build paths (Zeal can make FOUR different items???)
  • Give AP champions a defensive item against bursts

Nerfing junglers early game would fix most of the snowball problems caused by camping lanes and junglers just getting free kills with red/blue smite + ults.

ITS SO SIMPLE, GEE WHY HASNT RIOT DONE THIS YET??!!!

Kill gold is not what is snowballing the game. You don't understand the game if you think this.

OR we could just reduce champ damage so that the enemy can’t 100-0 you, objectives become harder to take, defensive items become more valuable even on carry classes. Towers are safer because dives take longer.

Sorry for my bad english :'( I understand all of your point of view but you are missing one point. This game is design in two ways : 1. Being balance for higher elo 2. Making game at lower elo possible to "carry". Most of the argument you mention are not a threat for most of the community. Actually, its only a problem in lower elo. In bronze (21,50% of player) and silver (40,76% of player), game encounter problems with snowballing and early game. Riot is fully aware of this and doesn't respond for this reason : "It would break the game balance even more". At higher elo, mage are dominant in the mid lane and assassin are underrate. Buffing mage (AP) would make them really unbalance for higher elo. Also, buffing mage will make them "top tier champion". That will not solve the problem but create a new one. The game at the moment is balance. That seem weird to you but it is. Player at lower elo have does many mistakes and are place against people f their strength. If you encounter difficulty with the game balance without being really high elo, your problem aren't "game problem" its more "skills problems". Many people of medium elo (gold, plat, low diamond) are perfectly able to survive through the difficulty you have. So there is a way to be better :) ! You just have to learn more about the game and getting better (don't take it as an insulte). At my elo (which is medium), early gank aren't a huge problem, AP champion are find, objectifs have a huge impact and kills and assists aren't the number one problem. Riot don't change these points on purpose. So relaxe, enjoy the game and improve :) [slayer-jinx-wink]

the problem is towers and that's for a few reasons.

Tanks are so dang strong and have resistance that you can get dived by them and can't dive them. So I'll take the tower that belongs to top lane. Illaoi.

Mid lane whoever gets first blood is just going to win the tower within 10 minutes

Bot lane is the same as mid lane but faster because there are two there attacking one tower.

Junglers generally are assassins with a lot of damage who just snowball with kills and help the laners take the towers faster. Infernal and mountain drake pretty much decide who wins the game. Especially if you get 2 or more infernals on the enemy.

But yeah towers are just weak af right now and riot won't do anything about it because "hurr durr we want faster games".

the way i see it is the faster games are pretty much synonymous with snowballing, which means you can pretty much tell which tower is going to fall and who is going to carry the game.

Because kill gold is an issue? It isn't. Assist gold is. All global snowballing is stupid.

AP champions have defensive options against burst already. You're being blinded by your bias.

I totally agree aZ3R0n! I think each of your points addresses an element that leads to unwanted snowballing. As a mid-laner myself, I'd love to see the last one especially!

Arcane Blue Boi12/25/2017, 1:04:35 AM1 votes

Just take x% damage from all champions (would like to see this tested but weird idea lmao)

Also YES GIVE MAGES SOMETHING AGAINST BURST PLS. SOMEBODY UNDERSTANDS ME. zhonias isnt enough im a game where belloe high elo theres 2 to 3 assassims being.played each enemy team. Not counting those melee basic based champions like olaf shyv trynd, you get my point

Straight up reducing kill/assist gold would hit support the hardest. How about we reduce the base, but the more and more assists you have the more gold you get from them, but kills and deaths reset the assist gold.

Buffing objectives is one of the best ideas is just straight up buffing ( not adjusting ) objectives. Another good thing would be to return catch up exp,it contributes to how lethality can one-shot everything. I've seen Zeds running around with a 5 lvl lead and deleting squishies with Q+W+E combo in less then a second.I know he was feed, but it's not that fun face that. Not to mention the ADCs who abuse it.

Blåbæret12/25/2017, 12:24:02 PM1 votes

I disagree with the first one. 2 and 3 is enough. Don't need to go overboard.

And then, if this happens, people will come out and say: "Oh, I was 5/0 at 10 minutes but we eventually lost the game by this Vayne, because we couldn't possible snowball enough to close out."

It's all the same, no matter what, people will keep on bitching about the state of the game.
