I wonder what he'll break this time . . .

You ALL wrong.

He is working on Barn, The Sentient Barn.

Wait. He's the guy that made Yasuo right ? Well it takes a special kind of talent to make a champ like that. Any retard can dream up Annie but Yasuo with all his nuances takes a different kind of mind.

I'd argue the opposite. CertainlyT designs feel like he just keeps cramming more shit into the kit to round out every weakness while giving the champ every strength. It's like a child trying to make the best superhero ever because he can shield all attacks and punch really hard and have eye lasers and fly. Annie is a simple and elegant design with strengths AND WEAKNESSES and I wish CertainlyT took a page out of that book for his designs.

Well I certainly understand where you're coming from but in the case of Yasuo, I disagree but only for the fact that despite all the stuff he has, he's not overpowered. I've seen good Yasuos and bad ones. The good ones do well and the bad ones do very badly. Its a testament to the skill necessary to play him effectively.

What I mean with my comment about Annie is that she is really plain. I mean think about it. If someone told me to design a character to fight with a bunch of other characters. And they told me I was limited to abilities that can be bound to no more than 4 buttons, then easiest thing to do would be to say well hey....let each button do some kind of attack that's can damage and kill opponents. That's Annie, something very easy to come up with.

Now to think up shit like having one ability change another ability after 3 attacks as a way to extend the otherwise boring limitation of having 4 abilities only really takes some imagination. You have only 4 abilities(5 if you wanna count passives). With Annie, thats exactly what you have. Nothing more, nothing less. But with a champ like Yasuo, the way his abilities interact with each other can make it seem as if he has a lot more than 4 simple abilities. And whats more, it's not about simple button smashing. It's like dancing. You have to have good timing and co-ordination to pull off the dance correctly. Its a very clever way to design champs.

And because this is a pvp game, what's it like for his enemies? If the Yasuo is bad, then yeah, you have a good time because he'll dash into turret range, waste his cooldowns, miss his skillshots, it's hilarious. But if he's good? You can do nothing. He'll wind wall your ult, dash out of your skillshots, keep up with all your escapes and lock you down with cc while killing you with his high dps. You die and his team gets an objective and when you respawn you know that in the next fight the exact same thing is going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it. He has more tools than you, more useful tools than you, no resource to gate the use of those tools, and they're on a low enough cooldown that he can use them every time you see him. It isn't because Yasuo is better than you, you're basically a non-factor, it's because the person playing Yasuo has surpassed the point where strategical decisions would matter against a Yasuo. LoL is basically a single player game to a Yasuo, you might as well be an AI opponent.

A good Annie can get ahead and get kills, but there are things you can do about it. You can still abuse her lack of mobility and mediocre range, when she blows her combo she has a vulnerable period, if her team doesn't protect her she can get destroyed before accomplishing anything.

High agency champions like Yasuo and Kalista make the game all about how good their players are. High mechanical skill players win the game and Low mechanical skill players lose the game, so it averages out to look like their winrates are fine, but actually playing in the game you have nothing you can do against one of those players while the other one is more likely to kill themselves than you and neither of those experiences is valuable or desired in League of Legends.

I'm curious. What level of play are we talking about here ? I'm mainly focusing on Bronze-Silver, perhaps even Gold(some of my friends have a couple Gold friends so I get to play with Golds now and again) here. I've never seen a Yasuo at this level that's unstoppable. I've seen them get fed and wreck whole teams but its no different to any other champ that gets fed.

Even so, as you said, a high agency champ like Yasuo can indeed be a true God when someone is good with them. But don't understate how much it actually takes to get good with champs like Yasuo and Kalista. It takes a lot of practice and I mean a lot. To give an example, I remember when I first started learning Azir. It wasn't until I had reached about 250K with him, which is a fucktonne of games, to start doing ok with him. In contrast, I got 2 quadras with Illaoi the 3rd time I played her. My very first game with Sejuani last week, I went on a rampage. I've played more games with Kalista than I have with Sejuani and up to this day, I can't even get a positive KDA with her. Hell I can't even play a game with her where I don't feed because she is so damn hard to learn. I remember in my early days of learning Azir I actually went 2/17 with him.

Point I'm making is that while yes, I agree, these champs are overloaded. The fact that they're overloaded makes them very difficult to learn to play properly. You might disagree, but I think skill cap is a nice way to balance champs. I started 4-1 my 1st game with Sejuani and went on to get a tonne of assists and make crucial plays to help my team win. I didn't really feel any way about it as Sejuani is a simple champ. But when I go 12-0-14 with Azir I feel damn good because I felt like I earned it through all the feed fests it took for me to get that good with him. It's really rewarding to do well with a difficult champ you've been playing a lot. It might be bad for the guy that has to lane against you but hey, you earned it.

That has zero relevance to me because I am not playing Yasuo. I am the one playing against him. It doesn't comfort me that this player spent 100 hours in custom games practicing combos, because I am only playing one game against this player. I use my abilities and he has a tool to deal with every one of them. I build armor but he ignores such a high percentage of it that I'm basically wasting gold while also killing my own damage potential. I get him to waste an ability cooldown but the cooldown is so low that he can cast it again much sooner than my abilities and I also have a mana pool that will eventually run out. I can't run because he's mobile and has range and hard cc. I can't even get his team mates first because he has one of the strongest team-protecting abilities in the game.

I am watching the map, reading movements and skillshots, pressing buttons to fire skills, but I'm still not really playing the game because it all comes down to whether or not this Yasuo has the mechanical skill to counter everything I do. I just wait to see if he makes a mistake. If he does then I can start playing the game again, if he doesn't I just keep waiting until our nexus falls.

But when I go 12-0-14 with Azir I feel damn good because I felt like I earned it through all the feed fests it took for me to get that good with him. It's really rewarding to do well with a difficult champ you've been playing a lot. It might be bad for the guy that has to lane against you but hey, you earned it.

Both your stomps and feeds sound like awful games for everyone involved. When you feed your own team suffers by having dead weight and the enemy wins without even trying or growing as players. When you stomp it's the same thing but reversed for your lane opponent. Both those kinds of games border on being toxic. 9 players suffer due to the decision of 1.

Oh good Lord. Please fire that guy already. We don't need another Yasuo-like champion in the game.

I mean, sure, Yasuo was pretty broken in the following patches after his release and in some future patches, but as of right now, he's not in a very great state. I main Yasuo with 120k+ points and I honestly haven't played him very much in this patch because his risk to reward ratio is nothing like what it was when I first picked him up.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

I know. Yasuo is easier to handle as of now. But I for sure can't stand playing against Zed. Just did because my team didn't ban him and he fucking one shotted me with his Q after I debuffed his ult and duskblade passive with Merc's Semitar. I am completely and overly done with that overpowered piece of crap.

CertainlyT didn't make Zed.

I know that. I'm just saying how Zed is worse in my opinion than Yasuo is right now.

Worse then kalista kitwise is nearly impossible, so whatever. He already made 1 entire class hate the game if kalista is in a match no matter if she does well or not ( meeles), he really CANT fuck up more.
