Guide To Be Off-Meta Support

MonkeyKing - EQ the enemy ADC, press W and walk away

LeeSin - QQE the enemy ADC, press W to dash back to your minions, ally, or ward placed in safe spot like bush

Camille - E to enemy ADC (courage of the colossus activated) QQ (passive shield up), W while walking away

JarvanIV - poke ADC with Q repeatedly, EQ enemy ADC (courage of the colossus activated), get a few AAs in, press W and walk away

Ekko - Q poke repeatedly, W in front of enemy ADC, EQ, use speed boost to get into dome, shielded as you walk away

Illaoi - Q poke, E the enemy ADC and destroy the spirit, too much damage for ADC to stay in lane

Yorick - when 3 Graves are up, Q a minion (4 graves now), W ADC, activate Q, E the ADC, those things will melt her. Use R for top lane

Olaf - Q poke (method also effective with DrMundo )

Jax - Q the enemy ADC, activate E in the air, press W, AA once or twice, stun goes off, walk away

Pantheon - Q poke, use QWEQ on enemy ADC when your ADC is being attacked, R stops escapes

Renekton - EWQ the enemy enemy ADC, use second E to dash back to safety

Riven - Proc 2 Qs in bush or from behind minions, use 3rd Q > AA > W > AA on ADC, E to dash away

Zed - same way you play him mid/top lane, constantly poke enemy ADC with his abilities

Talon - same way you play him mid and top, constantly poke enemy ADC with W until you can dive in

Sion - E poke the enemy ADC, use Q when you can, try to use your W for damage instead of just shielding

Shen - EQW the ADC (will proc courage of the colossus and passive shield while melting the ADC and dodging their AAs)

Poppy - Poke with passive, if you can pick your shield up, use EQ (E will also trigger courage of the colossus) for free damage and W to walk away. Even if you can't get a wall stun or pick up your shield, use EQ when courage of the colossus is ready for free poke and walk away.

I start item 3302 item 2003 item 2003 item 2003 item 3340 for them all then get a item 3097, after item 3097 is built it's totally situational. With MonkeyKing LeeSin Riven I normally go item 3077 > item 3074 , while JarvanIV Sion Olaf get item 3024 > item 3110.

Talon Zed who get a massive squishy killing power spike at level 6 allow me to sell the support item for damage. Post level 6, the enemy ADC is completely out the game, which is allows me to start camping mid lane. My ADC will have no problems taking tower in a 1v1 lane against the enemy support.

While the others like Renekton Camille Pantheon Shen I'm prone to getting item 3109 to make my escape a little safer and using my ADCs poke to get my health back from dive-ins.

If the enemy team has a melee support themselves Taric Alistar Braum Leona Thresh Blitzcrank Nautilus TahmKench Sejuani Volibear Trundle , then I absolutely play support Darius and dominate bottom lane going full tank item 3302 item 3097 item 1031 , sell item 3097 to buy item 3068. While I'm raping the enemy support, my ADC will be freely attacking their ADC who will be attacking me and providing a 24% missing health boost on my Q.

By far, my favorite ADC/Support duo are Draven Darius when appropriate.

But I do have a strong love for kill lane duos that consist of certain combinations of the XinZhao Irelia MonkeyKing Pantheon LeeSin Ekko Katarina Camille Jayce MasterYi Jax Shen Vi Khazix Rengar Renekton Darius Tryndamere Aatrox Gragas Diana Illaoi Chogath Mordekaiser Ryze Sion Talon Zed Gangplank Riven Singed Volibear Yasuo Udyr.

While XinZhao is by far the most preferable champion to kill lane with, I've never used him as support, but I'm going to try it now that courage of the colossus is a key stone, shield proc'd by his 3rd Q, which means after I pop up the enemy adc with my WEQ, I'll have a shield to walk away. He'll start with item 3302 into item 3097 and I'll either build item 3025 or item 3109 on him.

Good guide, though would be much better if you included at least a item 2049 or even item 2303 on your guide.

Each time I see an enemy support skipping or even delaying vision, it's autowin for me. Especially in a meta where people get easily fished out when they get caught...

I use control wards.

I use control wards.

You need sightstone so you can be sweeping out wards continually. Support is one of the most varied jobs because you are expected to get your lanemate fed (whether through kills or csing), keep them safe and provide vision in the lower half of the map. Once mid game hits, you're warding and denying enemy vision as much as possible. Additionally there's the duty of peeling for your team, providing either engage or disengage accordingly, etc etc.

Control wards are good but you only get 1 per person on the map. That is just not enough. The map should be lit up at all times.

And fyi, I play those supposed squishy supports and usually kill the cheese lanes you're playing, especially the ones not building sightstone.

Or just Soraka and win.

You're not going to believe me when I say this, but when supports are Soraka Sona they're focused first, they're fragile and are killed very quickly, leaving a 2v1 situation against their ADC. When I see Soraka or Sona, I instinctively grab a champion like Blitzcrank Nautilus XinZhao Jax Maokai Riven Leona Trundle Chogath Pantheon Maokai TahmKench Tryndamere Teemo Talon Vi and she'll die at least twice before level 6, then they'll start playing extremely passive and we get turret as long as we keep wards out.

On the other hand, Lulu is a complete powerhouse support. Against her, I take no risk.

Shen +Jinx or Ezreal is one of my favorites. Globals for days.

if you are looking at cheese lanes, I have one proven suggestion and one tentative suggestion pending whether a certain interaction exists or not.

Darius+Illaoi: Noxian Might can be triggered off of the Spirit. No need to worry bout kiting to get massive AD.

Azir+Heimerdinger: Unsure what the health decay rate is for Azir's Sun Disc or whether Heimerdinger's passive works for it, but if does work, the Sun Disc lasts longer and thus builds more damage over time.
