Completely agree. I started in December before the patch when they cut leveling in half, and I was actually really disappointed. I got into League because of my boyfriend, and he's been playing since the beginning and he told me LOL wasn't a game you could just sign up and be good at. League takes time understanding all of the rules, lane patterns, champs, champ abilities, counters, runes, masteries, etc.
I was a quick learner, but in the 7 months I've been playing I'd maybe rate myself as a decent support. There's still so much I'm still learning, but I needed more time.
The disappointing part of it all is being queued up with all of these people that easily got into 30s... AND THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE GAME OR THE CHAMPIONS. More often than not I'm done playing the game at 5 minutes because my team already gave up 7 kills to a Yasuo that was actually feeding to us in the beginning. It's absurd and frustrating. There's no need/want to do dragon, or objectives which is the point of the game, and the whole reason for this is all of these noobs were thrown in with their pants down like you said.
It's a money greedy ploy; same with all of the new looting/crafting bull and the over-flowing stock of new champions (that have basically the same fucking kit. The last three champions - Sol, Taliyah, and now Kled have the same ult. Why can't they tweak the old champs? Taliyah was forgotten about basically a week after that release.) By level 30 for the new people, they only have mastered maybe 1 or 2 champs; as a newbie I'm trying to teach OTHER 30s about Vladimir's Q and Karma's mantra. Things that experienced League players know; things that League players who play ranked know.
It's really disappointing.
