rageblade is seriously just stupid
we've been stomp enemy team the whole game, second yi gets rageblade and sated it doesn't even matter

Guys, it's not Rageblade. As someone who plays Shyvana, Kayle, and Nocturne regularly, as well as against the like of Yi/Xin/Warwick, Sated Devourer is the head of all these issues. You could build BotRK or Wit's End and **the damage will still be insane because of Sated Devourer's double on-hit passive. **
Sated Devourer is what makes Rageblade seem so broken, not the other way around.
Not true. Devourer wasnt the problem in the first place and Rito nerfed it. Now, there's still a problem and its Rageblade.
Devourer hasn't been nerfed yet (still on PBE) and the nerfs have no impact on Sated Devourer, which is where the real problems begin. The double on-hit passive is what makes BotRK/Guinsoo's/Wit's End/Titanic Hydra so horrendously effective in conjunction with the magic damage of Sated Devourer.
Guinsoo's always needs a companion item to be effective; as someone who plays Kayle in lane as often as in the Jungle, you never rush Guinsoo's over Nashor's Tooth. Guinsoo's on Kog'Maw pre-buff was a powerspike, but it's true capacity didn't show up until you bought Runaan's Hurricane.
Why do you think Sated Devourer is not the problem? Whenever people bring in this threads, the complaint is always "Guinsoo's is OP...once the champion has Sated Devourer." Then when someone points out that BotRK/Wit's End/Titanic Hydra are just as lethal AFTER HAVING SATED DEVOURER, people plug their ears.
The problem is Riot really wanting Devourers/ Wriggles Lantern type of jgling to be popular
I wish it would just die, we already had farming jungle bullshit in season 4 with Feral Flare. That double on-hit passive is ridiculous and can be abused way to easily
I can agree to this, mostly because I think the Attack Speed on top of Magic Damage is enough. If Riot wanted to, they could easily substitute another stat to go in place of the 2x On-Hit passive, but I think it just breaks too many builds for decent game health. As a lot of other players on Reddit have been saying, they hate the fact that their champion has become top-tier purely because of item builds and not because their champion is genuinely powerful.
For example, try Shyvana with Cinderhulk after trying Shyvana with Devourer. Shyvana is still strong with Cinderhulk, but Devourer's statistics with her are absurd and it makes her a top-tier champion.
Its because people dont know how to play against yi its not the item lmao.
While I think in most cases this is true.... have you seen rageblade kog'maw?
I played Kog'Maw before he saw his recent buffs. Rushing Guinsoo's was core on pre-buff Kog'Maw because it synergized so well with his W and allowed him dueling potential on top of clearing potential. That was ONLY (and still is) because his W provides an Atk-Speed steroid comparable to Sated Devourer.
As I said before, pre-buff Kog'Maw needed Runaan's (and a lot of peel) before he could wipe teams. Current Kog'Maw has been broken ever since they moved his Q passive to his W, not because of Rageblade alone.
Honestly I wish they would just bring him back to something resembling the way he was before preseason. Before, his ult was his bread and butter, and you would run around and try to kill people with it. Now you just press W and watch HP bars disintegrate...
I like what they did with his rework initially - the follow-up buffs were one of those initial "THIS IS AWESOME" situations as a Kog'Maw player, but then you realized a day of games that he became horrendously overpowered. I think they'll balance it out eventually - I really like what they did with Artillery though.
The problem is bio-arcane barrage just makes most of the rest of his kit irrelevant.

You sound like you should not be rewarded for not being useful jungler for the first 25 minutes....
Yes Sated devourer POWER SPIKE IS GOOD
But it is supposed to be good

Here's the problem I have with this argument. This mentality is a remnant of the old Devourer/Feral Flare days when junglers were actually weak and not capable while they stacked the jungle item.
Now, it's a lot different. As someone who actually plays Sated Devourer junglers, I AM a useful jungler for the first 25 minutes. Hell, I don't even need Sated to do my job as a jungler - if you do then either you're playing Warwick or you're not doing the best job you could as a jungler:
You are rewarded stacks upon kills/assists as a jungler now, so you have an incentive to gank.
Dragon/Herald give you 5 stacks, which given their importance as objectives means your grind is going to be easier if you're doing your job as a jungler anyways.
You gain passive HP through farming jungle camps with that one Keystone.
Most of these junglers have Movement Speed steroids as well, so it's not like you're playing an immobile mage in the jungle trying to stack Devourer.
Now will every game be easy for stacking Sated Devourer? No, of course not, but there are a lot of games where I don't obtain my Cinderhulk or Warrior enchantment until the 15 minute mark.
Just buy QSS.

just waste gold on a badly efficient item to try to counteract an extremely efficient item with magic damage out of the ass on top of physical damage.
The joke went over your head...
pink ward the joke

Joke ^ . . . . Your head
It really makes you wonder how the item made it into game the way it is. Clearly there was no testing involved. I mean the item itself has a 200% cost to stats ratio without even adding in the AoE. How does that even make sense on paper. 8 auto attacks and suddenly the status of the item have a 200% ratio. Mind boggling.

4 autoattacks for a melee. It might be more balanced if it was 6 or 8 for melees
Agreed, removing the doublestack for melee attacks would certainly make it a bit more fair on some. Does nothing to stop Kog though. PBE changes to Kog may help that though.
Just delete master yi, busted as fuck no skill champion.
At least he has a smidge more counterplay than ap yi who would just q for your entire health and then heal for his.
Now he just takes out all your health with auto attacks and is unkillable because he can build dmg and tank. Babysteps.
STOP MOVING SO I CAN WHIMSY YOU!!!!
thats where your wrong. you can use alpha strike to dodge alot of abilitys you can use meditate as an auto attack reset theres alot of skill going into playing champions.
every champion requires skill sorry to break it to you. theres a difference between a champion having a low skill floor that being how easy it is to first pick up and play and a skill ceiling is how difficult it is to master all the skills and abilities of a class.
So the higher the harder it is and the lower the floor the easier it is to learn the basics.
EDIT: for the record i dont play yi you can look at my match history you wont find a single yi game going back probably over a year also i hate yi as much as the next guy but im not gonna rage and say a champion takes no skill to play that would just be ignorant.

Sona has an auto attack reset. Doesn't make her hard. And "You can dodge skillshots with X move" doesn't make someone hard either.
I don't get it when people say "Yi can go untargetable!" as if to say that makes him hard. It means he has at least SOMETHING that requires some sort of thought, but that's not unique to him. He's about as brainless as it gets.
I don't even think that's the problem. My problem is right after that when he builds tanky and still soloes your entire team.

God forbid a melee hard carry build defensive items like they do in every other MOBA.
Can you imagine if some of these people saw a late-game Chaos Knight or Spectre? Their durability and damage combination might just make them shit bricks. And God forbid if Bristleback or Sven are allowed to get rolling in the early-game.

DOTA 2 is built around pretty much any champ going 1v5 if theyre fed enough. So apples to oranges man, the problem is, League ISNT built around 1v5 nonsense. Either the match is so one sided that it somehow became possible, or there is something wrong with the numbers on some champ/items thats letting it happen.
Well he's not going to solo your team if he builds pure squish.
And if your team is squishy enough that he can kill them before you kill him, you just didn't itemize effectively against the master yi.

Thats the point... he dosnt have to build "pure squish" (which inst a thing you build.....I think you mean glass cannon). He gets to build a lot of HP and still kill his targets in short order.
Also, how do you itemize against physical, magic, and true damage all a the same time? The issue is hes able to get kills he couldnt before, then get super fed and blow up whole teams. So if by itemize against, you mean not get snowballed all over by Yi, well talk to Rito about their snowball META. Cause once Yi comes out of that jungle, you have about 10 minutes to finish that match, cause its about to get ugly.
Ermm...you build against phyiscal...Yi's true damage is literally nothing, you are talking like 30 damage as true damage every auto.....Ohh no he killed the 2k HP ADC and did a whooping like 200ish damage as true...nevermind the 1.8k as phyiscal....
Same for magic, devourer isn't changing any heads really. 60 per hit. Out of ten autos thats doing a max of 600 damage, but due to mr, its more close to 550 max. That isn't including the 3k-6k physical he did.
The only people that really have a right to complain about for true damage is Vayne and Fiora. And even Vayne you can itemize against her AS and phyiscal and it hurts her a lot. Fiora is overtuned as crap atm so thats another story since she can just ult you and hit your vitals for 10-30% chunks.
The fact that you can build anything on jax and can't go wrong is proof that devourer is broken. since if anything goes on jax why are people mostly building devourer on him? Maybe everyone is hungry for that late game spike. but even high elo where early game snowball is important you would think warrior jax would be picked as often or moreso.

Is it that hard to recognize that warrior is incredibly weak and sated incredibly OP when like 8 of the top 10 winrate jgs are sated and almost every war jg is <50%.
I mean I know lol boards like to pretend that winrates don't mean anything and that Lee Sin is a good champion, but the writings on the wall.
Rageblade is op, better nerf devourer
You're right. Let's nerf rageblade.
Then titanic.
Then all tiamat items.
Then witts end, because that will be as retarded as rageblade after rageblade was nerfed.
Let's not even touch devourer, because the basic concept of doing multiple onhit effects on a single attack is totally balanced in a game with so many on-hit modifiers.
Devourer is bad on ranged champions who have RANGE, and good on melee champion who has NO RANGE, this is what makes the item balanced and somewhat fair. Rageblade is good on everyone
The only ranged champs that build Rageblade are Kog'Maw and Kayle. And Kayle pays for it because it takes 8 autos for it to stack instead of 4 like melee champs.
But Kog is just broken with it because of his attackspeed that he can get. But still the amount off attack speed, damage, and ability power on top of the AoE damage is just excessive, and Devourer has to force the jungler to farm till 20 in order to get that amount of utility for their gold
I'm not denying kog'maw is broken. However, most devourer junglers are actually better off going Devourer into Titanic Hydra into full tank now, since the 450 health plus the active offers more power and survivabiltiy. I agree Rageblade as a first item in lane is OP, but very few champions can actually make use of all the stats it gives, Jax being the only one who really shines with it.
Rageblade should definitely be nerfed, dont' get me wrong, but devourer is also too strong on it's own, since it allows almost any melee jungler to build one on hit damage item and then have boots and 3 tank items and still do tons of damage.
Titanic is also a problem, but is not as good as rageblade when it is just that item
I think
is the problem. And it was since it's release
the problem is the combo rageblade+melee+guinsoo. You can get 8 stacks and the +60% atk speed in 3 autos and skip the "ramp up that guinsoo" part. Kayle is a great example of a balanced ragueblade user, she needs 8 autos to ramp up the guinso to then become a monster, you can burst her before that (i know she has ult and isnt THE BEST example for the burst part but you understand me). Yi is a bastard that ragueblades ur whole team with 1 auto charged with passive
Yeah, even
is insanely powerful atm due to that one item.
Get sated and rageblade and you can 1v1 anyone, including a Yi with just as much spent gold as you, but then you get steraks and maw and engage on 5 people on your own and when those shields pop you just heal up to full while decimating whoever you feel like attacking.
I mean don't get me wrong, I'm so happy Aatrox is finally decent after his initial hard nerfs like a month after his release and like two incredibly minuscule buffs since then, but I'd much rather Riot buff him or rework him so he's viable without having to rely on a broken as fuck item.
You can't 1v1 anyone that has a decent amount of burst.
And the list of that would be:

appologizes for other burst champions that I didn't mention. A Devourer RageBlade user only has their base HP, MR and Armor. Meaning anything that can do DPS and peal or anything that is burst can easily get rid of the RB user. The important part is that Aatrox, Yi and other Rage Blade users build tank. But until they get 1-2 tank items completed. They are easy to deal with.
A shard of intelligence in this vast ocean of Rage Bl.. rage.
Yeah, no you missed a very important part of this discussion. As you mentioned, almost every single devourer/rageblade jungler will end up building tank items after those two, one of which is almost always sterak's, so once these items are complete they'll demolish teams, win every single 1v1, and cannot be focused down, some of them you can't even effectively peel without a comp made around peeling.
So we all know that in order to beat a devourer jungler, no matter their build, you just push for early wins and early invades to deny them farm in any way you can, and they'll end up being super weak for a good amount of time.
The problem, and the issue that everyone has been talking about this whole time, is that you're essentially set on a timer in every single game against even a decent champ who uses that build, and if you make even the slightest mistake that normally would only give the enemy team a slight break before you come back to finish them off, you have actually lost the game. That moron devourer jungler who never ganked anything and just tried to afk jungle farm but didn't even bother to try and get drag control or anything will scale up to this right clicking monster that everyone is talking about. Most Yi player for example are awful at jungle, they cannot effectively play any other jungler that doesn't work the same way (i.e. Jax or Shyvanna), and will make the early-mid game very rough for their teammates, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER, cause they and everyone else knows that if they can just not lose by too much so they can just get like 3 god damn items then they can single handedly win the game even though they did absolutely nothing to deserve it, and it's 100% cause of the item builds, nothing more then that.
It's just poor balancing, either useless or flat out OP, that shouldn't be a thing in the game at all!
