Remember when Wu Kong was FotM a few months back?

This isn't a QQ thread so much as an interesting point. Since lately I've been seeing a lot of champions getting 3 or 4 weeks of pick or bann popularity followed by riot responding with nerfs to said champion, only for the next in line to take his or her place.

This happens a lot in the jungle in particular. And I just remembered one month in the fall, when EVERYONE was playing Wu kong Jungle and winning games with him. Then he disappeared again. But I distinctly remember no one nerfing him, unless you count the new jungle popping up. But that couldn't possibly be the reason for his demise.

Do you think the monkey will ever show his face again as the next FotM? Will Riot nerf him if he does? Does Wu Kong need a wrist slap like the other junglers have been getting? Or did he just decoy out of it?

Because he wasn't actually OP like a lot of other champs are. He's extremely balanced and you have to at least know what you're doing to be effective early game. Even late game, he's well balanced even though that's where he shines the most.

He's about as deadly as any other champion. What nonsense are you speaking of?

Like I said, he's balanced. Not OP which is why there weren't a million nerf threads. That's the question OP brought up.

Wukong fell off because the new jungle destroyed him.

Wukong is still strong, his first clear can be rough (hint, get W level 2 to tank the buff). He's just not blatantly op. He's in the bottom of the top 10 junglers

i play wukong anyway, and his biggest issue right now is if he goes in, everyone just uses their escape tool out. sure wukong uses his ult, but then you're alone in the middle of their team and your team needs to spend the time you knocked everyone up to get in close enough to do anything at which point they're also in range of the enemy team. making a real mash pit.

wukong has no direct cc outside of his ult. he kinda needs items to clear/survive the jungle. its quite taxing if he doesnt have his decoy to take creep shots.
