Turret plating needs to go

worst change as of late hands down, we need less gold income, not more...and towers still die too fucking fast Edit: if they remove or SEVERELY NERF the gold gained it wouldnt be an issue (i mean like down to 30 gold per plate)

Can I ask what Elo you're in? Because as far as high-elo goes, the turret changes have done exactly what they're intended to do, Making the game longer and giving smaller amounts of gold early.

in lower elo (high silver low gold) games are decided even faster now...and since i dont play enough to climb to plat+ this was a negative change, as giving snowballing players even more income was terrible, changes should benefit both low and high elo, not ruin one while benefitting the other

While you are right, there also are benefits to the tower changes, they make laning phase longer in general, meaning that the game will go on longer most of the time (unless it's completely 1 sided) meaning that scaling will be slightly easier to achieve and comebacks are more possible by default. Also the tower damage is a direct nerf to early Rift Herald snowballing. I understand where you're coming from however the tower changes (in my opinion) have made the game better, longer, and easier to comeback from being behind.

if the gold is removed fine, but as it is currently, laning is ending at 6-7 min instead of 8-10 due to junglers wanting the plating gold

That's actually wrong though. Every website with game length statistics shows the average game length has increased across every division. Laning phase also lasts longer now. Turret plating accomplished exactly what Riot intended it to.

once junglers catch on that they get gold for plating it won't last longer, in fact it might actually get shorter as people will start playing junglers that are better at pushing such as noc/shaco

When a plate is broken, the tower gets bonus resistances for each player nearby. If a jungler comes to help you take a tower, it gets significantly tankier. Combined with the fact that the plate gold gets split among nearby players, and plating is a huge waste of time for junglers. They would get more gold taking a camp or roaming to another lane for a kill than staying to take the tower.

Early game is longer thanks to them. I do think the amount of gold you are getting from damaging plating should either be lowered or removed entirely, but it's still more healthy than jungler ganking at lvl6 and destroying turret before 8 minute mark.

if the gold was removed it would be reasonable, but the gold isn't reasonable, any gold for this isn't reasonable as now its encouraging junglers to gank a lane, push down the tower, rinse and repeat In lower elo most games last at most 20 minutes now, sometimes more if the snowballers don't know how to close it out faster, used to be more around the 30 min mark

Again, that's wrong. Even your own match history doesn't reflect that. The average game length in low elo is around 29-31 minutes (before turret plating it was around 28-29 minutes), and gets gradually shorter down to about 26-27 minutes in challenger(previously 25-26).

I agree turrets die to fast, that part is pretty accurate as you can still push down 2/3's of a turret with just one minion wave, but it has done it's job in increasing laning phase. If they reduce the gold amount there won't be any reason to push towers and you would end up getting more gold by just roaming bot lane, which is what they're trying to prevent.

The gold is just a bad idea in general tho, in the time it takes to return to lane a lot of champs can take 2+ segments equaling 320 gold, which furthers the snowball they already had as now they 6+ minions up aswell as 2 tower segments and a kill, this is literally just making snowballing even larger...

It is a bad idea, but in general it's not much different than if someone roamed bot lane and picked up a kill there. 300 gold vs 320 from two plates as thats the average number that most champions get from one push. It's keeping people in lane, and snowballing isn't much different as you lose 2 plates you lose both your botlaners, setting them behind, and losing first turret. I would much rather have the plates than the alternative.
