The main jungle problem

It's clear speed.

Not what you'd expect to hear, but after carefully analyzing my games, it's the biggest thing impacting my performance.

Clear speed dramatically increase with items, especially when you're AP. This means if the enemy jungler has a strong jungler that can invade and gets a kill early and gets a clear item, he can overshoot way ahead, because of the low XP you get, he will not only have items and even 2-3 level advantage, while you are stuck with a low clear speed and into a whole, and by the time you exit it, the enemy has 2 dragons and tons of pressure. Same in reverse, you can shut down an enemy jungler if you can fastly clear his jungle, clear yours in a rotation. Without the catch-up XP, clear speed really is important. Sure you can balance it by constant successfully ganking, but that's another topic, since it's not always viable

They need to balance this so that getting an item would not dramatically improve the clear speed and also improve the second jungle spawn clear speed

camps don't give xp anymore

junglers leech xp from solo laners thats how they get ahead

get yourself a ganking jungler and leech that solo laner xp when ever you can

Yeah no. I play almost exclusive Kayn, one of the fastest clears in the game. And even when hard afk farming, I will never keep up with the solo lanes, or be even close to keeping up with a solo lane.

Not to mention what you suggested here actually gives you a bounty. Yeah.

one of the many reasons why Leesin is the only truely viable solo que jungler. Obviously there are other "viable" choices. But Lee is the only one who can still function optimally even if all of his laners are useless.

And as any jungler knows, unless youre in high Diamond or above, its extremely likely that all of your laners are going to be useless as far as helping their jungler goes.

The only problem is that people refuse to adapt.

For a couple of years, catchup xp has been a jungler's lifeline. They can get away with ganking a lane several times before clearing and still get a juicy 300 bonus xp simply for helping their team.

Now junglers have to actually plan and weave ganking into their jungle paths, rather than the other way round.
