ARURF really isn't random, so what's the point of it?

I honestly see the same champs every game anyways. Since this is the case can we just have regular URF? I just want to pick the champs I enjoy, not be given a champ that isn't fun for me and/or I'm pitted up against team comps. which just emphasise boring gameplay.

Random? I've legitimately gotten champs multiple times over numerous games, or they're on my team or the enemy team. For example, Sylas and Riven were in my game almost every single time today, same to Lux and Zed.....it's not random. If it were truly random I'd be seeing more ADCs and more champs like Yasuo and Taliyah, and less of the "broken" champs. I have yet to see a Taliyah, Urgot....oh wait, people just swap those picks out anyways and instantly get the broken champs....hmmmmm.

ARAM seems to have the same formula too, where the higher win rate/pick rate champs are given to players over more boring champs. The game seems to always want to give you the popular champs over the "bad" less popular champs. In either case, this is not acceptable. Either make "All Random" URF truly random or just give us regular old URF mode where we can pick the broken champs we actually enjoy playing and where the playing field isn't so skewed that you cannot enjoy the game due to pseudo RNG.

Thanks for reading. [slayer-jinx-catface]

agreed, i get the same champs lots of times. or when they have a yi i have 0 stuns and when i have yi full stuns all games they have counters because its a fizz or a ashe doing 1000 dmg with an arrow while ad

It's normal to see the "broken" champs more often because people won't roll them / will get them from bench more often. If everyone rolls even just the 1 roll, there are 20 champs to be picked each match, the top 10 or so will be picked and the rest not. So it basically means the worst 10 champs should never be opted into under normal circumstances. Also, who doesn't own lux? On the flip side, what percentage owns sejuani?

most of what you are experiencing is confirmation bias. All the Arurfs I played personally were fun, and I never played the same champ twice.

I've been given the same champion 7 times at one point, and that's only the worst offender. There were other picks which showed up for me more than 3 times in a row. Just on my team alone I keep seeing the same champions.

"most of what you are experiencing is confirmation bias." I would agree except I have yet to see Sejuani, Taliyah, Singed, Nunu, Gangplank (strangely enough), Rumble and Yorick.

If people really are rolling off of "bad" champs then let's be honest, being able to pick your champion would just be better overall since everyone seems to want to play the broken champs anyways. What's the point of "all random" when people just dodge and reroll until they get a pick they deem broken?

I have seen taliya GP nunu rumble for sure. (and i haven't even played too many arurfs)

Ofc you aren't gonna see the sejuani. Although I did play her once, she is godawful, you don't even notice you are playing URF.

Being able to pick is way more likely to end up with the same 20 champs being played, and anyone that plays something else is punished for this.

You need to understand, win or 2nd place doesn't matter. KDA doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is to have as much fun as possible

only problem with that is when you get the extreme outliers that have massive amounts of mobility already and you can't lock them down or fight back. And then it's no longer fun, it turns into massive frustration, not because you got outclassed, not by skill or getting outplayed but by a champ select screen.

But in normal urf those were the only champions that were played. And the champ select win was also true then. You can tell me 10 banned champs and I will come up with 10 of the same cancer level.

Not to mention how if someone wanted to play a lot of champs in Urf they were gimped because in every game there were fucking tryharders that made the game unbearable. I mean the last time I saw normal urf I saw a duo's match history which consisted of 20 straight games playing morgana mf duo lane permapushing AOE and 0 thing you can do.All their games ended pre 15 mins. And that was without cannon Because for some inexplicable reason people wanna win in a mode that means fuck all.
