pale cascade costs a lot of mana at high levels

i know, it does a lot, but man that thing is costly. she's already skillshot dependent, melee, no gapclosers until 6, she can't really build lifesteal because she's such an AP dependent champ, does she also need to have to go back after every decent fight?
