Does Riot realize that not everyone in the US wants to watch the finals at 1 am? Why would they put the winner in big, bold font on the front page? Would it be so bad to instead put that information 1 click deep so I can safely go to the vods?
I thought Riot would have learned this years ago.

They could just as easily put the giant photo of the winning team on the "World Championship" tab, and not directly underneath (and 20x larger than) the rebroadcast or VODs link. The rebroadcast's purpose is to provide a realistic time for fans on the other side of the world to watch the matches. They show the result of the matches as a blown up photo right there with the link to watch them, when the link is specifically for people they expect to not have seen the finals yet.

Riot specifically advertised the 3pm EST NA rebroadcast, and then put the spoiler in the same location as the rebroadcast link.

Only suggestion I'd have in that case is to full screen and hide chat, since people can comment on vods now, and some assholes can and will comment on a vod with spoilers (though that shouldn't be a surprise since those people exist for every show and game out there).

lolesports is the definitive source for all the latest going ons in professional League and you expected them not post the news of SKT being defeated?
If you want to keep yourself in the dark for whatever reason then just go on YouTube where the games are posted, although I'm sure you'd see other videos in your suggested "spoiling" the event

You are complaining about seeing news of the game on the official news site of the game.
And the official distribution site for the recordings of the event itself. It's not hard to design the site to have the spoilers one-click-deep, even without requiring an additional page load this design for their web page would be trivial. It's incredibly amateurish for Riot to be unaware of how people would likely watch the match and structure their site so it would be another one of many land mines that fans would need to avoid.
