How are you supposed to watch esports withot spoilers?

Does Riot realize that not everyone in the US wants to watch the finals at 1 am? Why would they put the winner in big, bold font on the front page? Would it be so bad to instead put that information 1 click deep so I can safely go to the vods?

I thought Riot would have learned this years ago.

This is where the rebroadcast and VODs links are:

They could just as easily put the giant photo of the winning team on the "World Championship" tab, and not directly underneath (and 20x larger than) the rebroadcast or VODs link. The rebroadcast's purpose is to provide a realistic time for fans on the other side of the world to watch the matches. They show the result of the matches as a blown up photo right there with the link to watch them, when the link is specifically for people they expect to not have seen the finals yet.

Here's what you do:

  • DO NOT LOG TO TWITTER OR REDDIT
  • Do NOT go look for the game on YouTube
  • Go STRAIGHT to twitch.tv/riotgames and browse the latest video, which is usually the recording of the series you want.

Across several years, this method for me has had a 100% effectiveness ratio.

There are spoilers about the Super bowl as well. If you dont watch it the day its playing, then be ready for it to be spoiled to you

What do you actually expect? You chose to complain about this after the finals when they've done this so many times already. Then you come on boards where you KNOW even more spoilers are gonna be. If you had the time to log in and play a match why not just watch the match instead?

Just go to Youtube and search "ssg vs skt all games" there are no spoilers if you dont read the comments.

Next time just watch on Twitch. Then you can just go to the Vod, and watch the whole thing there.

Only suggestion I'd have in that case is to full screen and hide chat, since people can comment on vods now, and some assholes can and will comment on a vod with spoilers (though that shouldn't be a surprise since those people exist for every show and game out there).

I learnt they spoil things all the time, so I just use my hands to cover parts of the screen when I'm going into the vod page.

OP is an actual monkey brained moron, this is like asking for no spoilers for the NBA playoffs.

Of course the info will be put out there, its a live event not a tv show

Hot spoilers everywhere.

I never rely on Lolesports page for my searching. I just stay off of any expected spoiler sites and jump straight to the Event Vod subreddit. Grab the video on YT, ignore any interface on the site other than the full screen button and sit back.
